Would anyone be interested in writing and sharing parables of what Gor means to them?
Below are a couple from my own writing:
There was once a man who was hailed as a champion by his people. One day, the champion encountered a warrior who had with him a girl in chains and rags and was used as a beast of burden. The champion decided to rescue the girl and free her from her current condition. The champion challenged the warrior and they fought. Eventually it came to a point where neither the champion nor the warrior was able to fight, and the girl with her hands on a knife. “Kill him! And you will be free!” the champion said, “you will be able to make your own choices, be your own master, and live only for yourself.” The warrior said nothing. The girl stabbed and killed the champion and gave the knife to the warrior.

A man walking through the desert stumbles on a small pond. He had never seen such a clear and large body of water. He crouched beside the pond and stared at it, awed by its beauty. For many hours he stared at the pond, while the sun took away his body's water. He became thirsty, but he does not drink from the pond. He merely stared in admiration at the pond, hypnotized by its crystalline surface, while his body grew weak.
Suddenly, the water rippled and the man saw that a traveler had dipped his cup into the pond to drink its water. The traveler's camel had also lowered its head to drink from the pond.
At first, the man was stunned, "how dare the traveler disturb the tranquility of the pond, and even allow his camel to drink its water" he thought. However, the man realized shortly that the pond, despite everything, was still a body of water. So he drank from the pond and was refreshed.

A paraphrase from memory of a story I once read:
There was a garden within which is a rose bush and an apple tree. People came and went. Many admired the rose, but they quickly moved on. On the other hand, many lingered by the apple tree.
In the evening, when all the people are gone, the rose complained to the apple tree, "Surely I am more beautiful than you, but why is it that people walk past me but stays near you?"
The apple tree replied, "Perhaps you are indeed more beautiful, but when people reach for your blossoms, you prick them with your thorns. In my case, I offer my fruits and the shade I provide freely to those that wish them."
