you might try Craigslist or Thrift stores. I know they're not free, but $50 or $100 bucks for what might be a brilliant dress is a hell of a lot better than seeral thousand.

Join Freecycle. It's free and the stuff is too. Or, try shopgoodwill.com. It's not free, but it's a great way to spend time and a couple of bucks....it's where I picked up corn-husker gloves (who knew), which are for seriously sadistic fashion! Good luck.

Try freecyle athough, to be honest, I don't think you'll have much luck finding a wedding dress for free. You might be able to get a nice white dress though.
