Wow, ten winters in Germany and verity is still running around in summer clothing...this year for the first time she had to get a warmer jacket, still no need for the winter one though.
angel if you want snow, verity can send you some German snow. We have had 20 inches and more to come, for Kiel that is an amazing amount. We normally have rain, rain, ice and then more rain.
In Australia (birth country of verity) it cannot decide if it wants to flood everything or burn everything, so mother nature decided for both. That is where there is no drought. Mother Nature is one cruel bitch when she wants to be. hihi.
So a wet and burning summer or a windy and snowy winter. Fun choices.
angel one of the funny things verity has learnt about people is that the overreact on small things when they do not know it any different. verity watches how people in the city react to bushfires and floods they see on the news and the heartattacks they have. verity thinks to herself that they should stay in the city. Such things to live through (as you know with snow) are a heck of a lot different to watching.

We ended up with 13 inches here! Yeah!!...but the frigid cold that is setting in could move along to the East please. I'm OK down to the high 20's but anything below that is just too damn cold. It does make a good excuse to stay curled up in front of the fire all weekend..:)

Tal and greetings all....

I think the Chicago area only got about 4 inches when they thought there would be somewhere around 9 inches in the last storm. That 4 inches may be generous where I live near O'Hare. I have not checked the official amounts. All of this is quite fine with me. I want my global warming back! <grins>

Don't pout Angel. You got more with your inch than I'll get all this winter, although they are predicting snow flurries in Fla tomorrow morning. And for Fla, thats waaaay toooo cold!!!

Sounds like nearly everyones got snow right now. Even here in England !. Maybe most that dont live here think its snow every winter... Charles Dickens and a bleak mid winter kind of thing. Seriously though... we had a light covering last winter, then i think that was the first for about 5 years or so bar a few flurries here and there.

Think this has got to be the most snow since I was 8 years old or so (now 34)... and we are still only really talking 4 - 5 inches max. Trouble is that here in England we are never prepared !, the whole country grinds to a stop !, we run out of grit and no one goes to work or school. Pathetic really !. Love it though -so pretty... just wish the country as a whole could get used to dealing with it
