While if my Master told me to jump off a cliff, I would assume there was a logical reason and it was the best option for me in that moment for some reason... even if I didn't have time to ask why.  But he is a logical and rational man and usually has a very, very good reason for every decision and choice he makes with the information he has available to him. I couldn't picture him wanting to kill me or doing something to me that would make him end up in jail or whatever else. He likes owning property, and feels that ownership comes with responsibility.  (Just like owning a dog requires responsibility and proper care.)

if a total stranger told me to jump off a cliff... i'd try my hardest not to laugh.

The cliff jumping example reminds me of another question I had about slaves.  I was talking to a friend, and she said all girls into Gor are fat and old and nearly useless anyway if you looked at them as chattel. I pointed out ^^^^^ jakeskajira and a few others, but my question was, is it that there are few younger fit kajira, or only fewew of them that find the time or give-a-fuck to post on online forums?

If a kajira lives a life offline, and isn't online to have her slave-ness questioned, is she still a kajira?  One of those unanswerable enigmatic questions for the ages like whether the pope poops in the woods.

****Master Nephilim

to be frank, since obesity is rising in our culture and many areas now that food is more plentiful and its easier to over indulge and exercise is not as likely to happen. (we don't have to walk every where, since we have cars, we don't have to work so hard to clean our house, we don't have to sew to make our own clothes kind of a thing) it leads to less activity than most bodies need to stay fit or keep the weight off for the amount of food that most people tend to eat....

I don't work out at a gym. I just make sure I don't eat more calories than my body can burn for a days activities. And, I stay active with our dogs, and my Master enough that I am fairly healthy. ;)

I think that while much of the weight issue may be related to laziness and not willing to cut back on food to keep from getting over weight in the first place, or the inability to eat small enough amount of food to get it off....
Some of its genetics. Some of it is health issues, some of it is just the crappy, easy to eat food thats so bad for us that is the easiest to get.

I am allowed to come online and share/talk, but my responsibilities to my Master, and my Master's household are always the #1 priority over all else. I never forget this.  I really only come online because it's often difficult to get out around others who are even close to like-minded (as our local gor discussion group only happens once a month.)

And sometimes, its easier to handle the responsibilities, and burdens that I have in my life, if I know that I am not the only person alone out there that is in a similar situation.

And, the few "younger fit kajiras" can grow into "older fit kajiras". We age. unlike gor, there's no anti aging serum. I've been with my Owner since I was 20 and I will be 25 this year. I won't stay young, even if sometimes I wish I could. LOL

I've seen slaves who've been with their Master's longer than i've been alive. some are fit, some are healthy, and some are not.

I guess to me, it just depends if you consider owning a slave like owning a dog. That your in for the long hall, until the dog passes away. Most people take good care of their pets even in old age for the amount of joy they brought into the life during their youth./puppy-hood...

There are some who can't even potty train their dog and get rid of them, and there are others who train their dogs for schutzhund and spend hours and hours on training (or months and years), obedience, to get a dog who's amazingly wellbehaved, intelligent, able to think on their and feet, and just by existing in their life, make the owners life better.

(I often compare myself to dogs, and slaves. I like to think slaves are the more intelligent companions, but some of us out there.... makes me wonder. hehe.)

Warm regards,
emma

p.s. sorry for rambling, I once again wrote a long post because I didn't have my coffee yet.

Yes, a man’s choice in companions influences my feelings and opinion of him because those choices reflect his values. It is very revealing.
… You can judge a man by the company he keeps.

Yes, a slave’s behavior influences how you think of someone. A slave reflects her Master’s choice and ability to judge quality in people. She also reflects his ability to educate, train and inspire faith through leadership.
… You can judge a trainer by the dog.

Yes, a Master’s behavior reflects the values of those that choose to server or follow him. Only a fool follows a poor leader or chooses to serve and obey a reckless or abusive Master.

If you observe the actions of a free man, does who he choose for a slave, a free companion or other choices influence your feelings about him? Does the behavior of his slave influence how you think of him? Does the behavior of a Master change how you'd think about a girl he owns or his free companion if he had one? And, what are some behaviors or actions that would cause you to think less of a man, either because of actions of his own, or actions of his slave?

Tal Nephilim,

That last statement/question did not seem too unanswerable at first blush. "If a kajira lives a life offline and isn't on-line (in the forums?) to have her slave-ness questioned, is she still kajira?"

But then I thought again, I sat back, I drew a breath and reached for the now lukewarm cup of coffee. I pushed myself away from the keyboard and thought.

I thought, "why would being online to prove her slaveness be important to a kajira?"  That concept presumes that to be a real life kajira one must convince strangers outside of real life of their "slaveness"?

Then I laughed out loud almost choking on the last dregs of coffee I still have difficulty making after 56 years of life.

I realized you were not serious in that statement because after all, what would Tarl Cabot think about that concept, imagine our hero finding his property spending lots of time online proving her slaveness or making others prove theirs?

It would not happen. Why? I suppose that action might just make the slave girl live a secret life outside of real "slaveness" and would corrupt her emotionally. That would be followed by weight gain and that dominoes to a point she no longer takes pride in her beauty and ability to please her One. She then would be angry and stay on the threads seizing any opportunity to trash any still lovely kajira who happened her way, I suppose in order to reclaim her status in her own mind. I can not see anyone letting their kajirae stay that way for long without interceding. It is a sad scenario and one I hope I am wrong about in regard to the actions of online kajirae.

To sum this overly longish post, the thought of needing to have one's real life status certified by someone on-line in artificial circumstances is a difficult concept to rationalize over my now cold cup of coffee. But, I am glad you raised it because it does explain many of the posts I have seen elsewhere.

Be well,
Arturas

Greetings..

The only answer to that I could offer Master Nephilim is yes. If she's owned, and this is what her owner has determined her place in his life to be..yes. Quality of persons whos words are read online isn't for me a seek of determination of them being what they claim nor a need to affirm what I already know..but more specific in address would be are they persons who I can relate to. Though at times I will toss out there that I do not think they are what they state but it isn't meant to disclaim them..it is meant to bring on more conversation to find clarity in their views and broaden my very narrow views on certain things. Social is social. We all desire that to some degree. For myself..I am pretty well removed from the society scene, and though I do not need any other input to guide my life than what I receive from Master...us being very similar in thoughts on most every subject matter tends to be like talking to myself in the mirror sometimes, and it is nice to be allowed another venue in which to find differing thoughts.

Master brings in different topics for conversation from the outside. I bring them from the minds of persons here and elsewhere online. It keeps things active.
