Not that it was a serious thought, but I think there are several instances in the books where slaves see physicians. I doubt they are the same as a vet but in most pre-industrial societies, doctors were hard to come by, so people were seen by whoever they could. Often, vets doubled as doctors or people were more generally "healers". I am sure that if someone on Gor was experiencing financial difficulties, their slaves would be the first to sacrifice. That is shown in how they are quickly used as beasts of burden when there is need (even if actual beasts are available, in the books, the slaves may be used as labor animals just to save money). I am sure that if there was any advantage (if there was seperation in the two areas), they would see the vet, or local witchdoctor over a physician frequently (or infrequently).
