Why is there so little swithery on here ?
you can go weeks without seeing any new additions to this forum. Its funny but I go to a UK site where the switch forums are just as busy as all the others and yet on here its a boringly uninterested section.

I know there are loads. I often get messages from guys with Dominant profiles showing some intrigue in my switchiness and wanting to know what I would do to them!!
I guess the majority of switches on here just don't want to admit it openly!

I personally don't understand why not... it's not like a virus, I'm happy to be one, i get the best of both worlds. i do wish more people posted on here, i for one feel lonely in this world full of doms and subs.

Yeah, the switch forum on here is definitely far too lacking in activity.

As far as why... no idea really; as far as I'm concerned switching is awesome. ^_^

Switching is awesome, but I think it comes down to a lack of anything to say about it. As a switch, you are still either on top or bottom. Unless you'e in a battle, and it seems to me not every thread can be about battles. Or maybe they can, who knows ;)

Just a thought, but perhaps those folks lamenting that there aren't enough active threads in this forum might consider starting a few and become part of the solution rather than complaining and being a part of the problem.

Your right and I never thought of it like that.

It would be amusing to start threads with titles like

How many fake switches do we have on here?

The 'twue' switch

My Master washed the dishes, is he a switch?

An African switch scammer

Maria, I think there is a lot of truth to that. Honestly, I've always had the impression that there are probably as many switches as there are dominants or submissives.

Sorry, I get like that sometimes when I wake up too early.

Let me apoligize right now for the little rant I'm about to give.

Well, I think this is part of it.  I've noticed when you do admit to feeling either side, more D vs s or vice versa, you're reminded that switches are really only tops or bottoms...now be a good boy/girl and go play somewhere else.

I think it's actually kind of funny.  I started a thread recently on the Ask a Mistress forum about feminine wiles vs dominance and got an email from a red letter individual saying I should stick to this, Ask a Switch, forum because that's what I am...not domme or sub.  I thought it was silly and more than a little sad that someone would take the time to even send such claptrap...to be so bothered as to take valuable time to write and tell a complete stranger they've been labeled and boxed based on words.

I think there's a heck of a lot of switching going on...people just don't want to or aren't comfortable with talking about it as much as the other identifiers.  They'll say things like "I'm a dom/me but I like to bottom, but I'm not a switch" or "I'll top because he/she tells me to, but I'm not a switch."  It's easier for most people to understand identifying words like dom/me, sub, slave...they're clear and more to the point.

I haven't started any threads in this section mainly because I can relate to topics in the other forums...ask a master/mistress/sub/general bdsm.  In looking over some of the older threads here, though, there have been some really good discussions....maybe it's time to revive this switchy board and make it interesting again.

*whips out the defibrillator and yells "clear"*

BTW....I love the "African switch scammer/how many fake switches do we have here/you're not a twue switch" thread ideas.

Just my ....fwiw.

Some really good points CarrieO and all of which I agree with. I agree that its odd that a domme would want to write to you regarding being in the wrong place!! Perhaps she was trying to dominate you, after all your merely a switch

We should revive the switch boards. I know what you mean about finding something on all the other forums and maybe we don't here because switches just don't have as many problems!

Regards

Maria

I bring up my switchiness all the time on other forums, but this one doesn't get much traffic. I haven't had a lot of specifically switchy threads that I wanted to start, and the couple I have done, I put in General to hopefully get more responses.

I'm primarily a slave but I love to switch on occasion.  The reason I'm not here often is there is little traffic, seemingly.

I know I'm a Switch - because I want it ALL - ALL the hidden power of a submissive, ALL the not so hidden power of a Dominant - all the thrills and fun of both - It makes picking just one "side" seem vanilla almost. ;-)

From the switches I KNOW are switches (mostly Dominant males who would be devistated if anyone "knew" they'd switch) have their profiles say they are Dominant. I think it's those guys who are under the misconception (or is it?) that they will be somehow viewed as less of a Dom ... or worse, some one will say they aren't a "REAL" Dom if they can switch.

To me - it's semantics. I have to laugh when someone says someone isn't a "Real" anything. It's a label on a spectrum, not a diagnosis. ;-)

Its not just men either. I (Steve) have chatted to many a Domme that have told me after a few glasses of wine that they want to switch with the right man but sshhhhhhh don't tell anyone

Yeah, I'd have to say that's most likely the reason... It's not that there aren't switches, or that they don't want to talk... it's, what are you going to post about for switches that wouldn't go either in Off-topic or the general forum, and isn't something that's already been posted a gazillion times.

So basically, fnord.

Oh my, I laugh my ass of at any uber dominants or slaves that look down upon switches. Oh the lifestyle is so important to you and you know it all... from one side of it anyway.

To be a switch I've found to be a delicate balancing act. Knowing when to be obstinate enough when working with Dominant so the reward for correcting their pets behaver provides an exhilarating experience, expanding the Dominant's own talents. And while Working with submissive's, knowledge gained from working with Dominate's can be directly applied to enhance the submissive's experience. Proud to be a Switch hey Just my view point
