Final Fantasy series, no doubts about it!  I played the FF2 (US version) on the SNES when I was ten years old.  I am counting down the 8 days til FF13 comes out!!!

role playing: d&d, ad&d, battletech (still my fav)

didn't really get into computer RPG's that much.

online MMORPG: star wars galaxies (back before they ruined it), WoW (just cancelled my account after 4 years), little d&d online, and planning on playing the kotor mmo when it comes out.

I'm not going to pretend that Escape was anything other than a complete trainwreck, but Curse is the best entry in the series and the Telltale ones are pretty brill as well.

aarrggh!  well, ill attribute this to me and not the wife... this made me make a profile!
if imma play ad&d, i play first edition.  i own all of it...
tsr made several other great games-  i played top secret si, gamma world, and star frontiers(a very good space/future rpg based on d10)
palladium rocks-  i played ninjas and superspies, heroes unlimited, paranormal, TMNT, robotech, rifts, recon, and their fantasy option(which kicks ad&d's ass up one side and down the other IMHO)
battletech, hell i played in tourneys at capcon and gencon. i love that.  warhammer40k was nice but too expensive.  and i played a lot of star fleet battles. i have noticed a lot of kinksters are gamers too- its cool

yeah, I'm glad to see that the original writers got a hold of it again(aka telltale), but they'll never duplicate the kind of work that went into lechucks revenge.really, do you remember how long the full game was lol,not to mention that even thou the graphics aren't technically impressive at all, the art work that went into that game is quiet remarkable, I don't know why they dropped the grimy/fun stylization for just another cartoon game...don't know what I'm talking about, just look at guybrush after number 3 and tell me he's not the nerd from day of the tentacle .

He is, but that's what I liked about it.  After Escape, SMI2 is my least favorite game in the series by a long shot.

For me, it's AD&D versions 1 and 2.  I started modifying them right away to include some more interesting psychological and physical things to spice it up.
