Is the third world more like Gor?
Have you considered moving to a place in the world with a power vacuum?
How well do you think you would do?

In my opinion, Gor is very much like the Third World, and vice versa. Of course no comparison is every airtight, but the parlalls are pretty striking.

I disagree. The Third World is largely burdened with economic disadvantages holding it back.

That's not the case with much of Gor (which has its own First and Third worlds). A better comparison would be Ancient times--Greece, early Rome, Eurasia, but without the rise yet of true empires.

I don't romanticize it. Civilization exists for good reason, even with its problems.
