I've been searching the threads here with no luck probably because I don't know the correct terminology...
What are the needles used in needle play called? I'm trying to find the ones that are used in allthatjazz's pictures.
Help.

Yeah....she scares me a lot.
I'm so afraid he's gonna want to duplicate those intricate patterns that are in her pics.

My anxiety level is through the roof with this. He loves to make me do the research and the purchasing knowing that it stresses me out.

Hi Aileen, They are a general medical needle that come in different sized gauges I generally use Microlance or Terumo. We run an online shop and we have a section on there that might be worth a read for a bit of inspiration www.edgeplay.co.uk

I am a needle bunny in the pictures but its normally me putting the needles in! People often ask why we bother to do such intricate patterns. If you really do get into needles then its not about the pain but an incredible journey. You really do space big time and start seeing beautiful colors and so forth. The patterns which are often tribal, kind of depict that journey.

I'm not really scary.. honestly

see? theres the jazzster and she talks good and dont drool or anything, I am sure you will be like an additional 150 pounds of needles in you, bleeding from every orifice, and he pissed on the needles before he put them in and wiped them on old mouldy bread and think to yourself, Geez? WTF was the big deal? This is easier than vacuuming under the bed!!!!! Glad I got to know her.

And Ron...you aren't helping my brain all that much.
I can only hope that ShoreBound takes full sexual advantage of me if I pass out....

Ah, don't worry, those needles are so sharp, you'll barely feel them slide in

They are generally reffered to by bloodsports players as "sharps"

Don't worry-they only sting slightly-unless run through the labia.

sharps yep, and you ironically can buy them in bulk quite easily, purchased a box of 100 for £10 on ebay, for a sculpture i only got confused when they asked for gauge and length, then i just looked puzzled and asked for ones with a green nose

They're called sharps. No different than when you get your blood drawn (says the sadistic phlebotomist)

I love the way he mind fucks you. Give him a big ole kiss for me.

On the cheek and purely platonic....I just adore the way his mind works. I thought I was a sick fuck. I think he may be sicker than I am.

Before you doubt that...I'll mention 2 words...

Nail gun...and my love of using one.

Damn I forgot the chart...

http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/chemistry/stockroom-reagents/learning-center/technical-library/needle-gauge-chart.html

just remember the higher the gauge # of the needle the smaller the needle itself. By smaller I mean smaller in diameter.

FR and jumped through.

I say this. If your skin gets peirced or punctured, cut or whatever, make sure you bleed. The more the better, up to your personal limits.

Take it from someone who knows. I have been shot, cut and beaten to a pulp by a gang of (well if I find them they will be ashes), and had a whole lot of other shit happen to me.

ALWAYS BLEED. Squeeze it out if you have to. And do it right away, as soon as possible. When the blood flows out, the infection does not flow in, kapeesh ? IMMEDIATELY thereafter cover it, bandage it or whatevwer until your blood level picks back up, until then there is a vacuum of sorts. Not quite but it is the best way I can describe it right now.
