Status: offline 		I have never passed out from an orgasm, however, this one guy told me how his former wife would always pass out when he went down on her.  I always had the sneaking suspicion that what he referred to as her "passing out" was really her falling asleep.  I quickly decided that he was not the one.

I have had that happen and most times I just shake and go into that space before I do pass out. I am multi orgasmic and Daddy likes to have me come over and over till I beg him to stop. Which he doesn't. As long as you have had a full physical, making sure all is okay-and mention it to your doctor-there really should be no lasting effects. Just make sure that whatever Dom or Domme that you are playing iwth knows how to take care of you when you do pass out. First time it ever happened Daddy freaked out but I came too just before he called anyone, What a fiasco that would have been! Yikes. Goo dluck!

Status: offline 		When I was in my 40s I found myself blacking out after vigorous ejaculations but just figured that i was really having fun.

Years later i had  a brain scan prior to eye surgery and the doc showed me numerous small scar tissues that he thought represented  old minor strokes and suggested i see my regular doctor---which I promptly ignored. Ten years later I had major hypertension attack that resulted in massive nose bleeds and then a stroke in the hospital.  My blood pressure was off the map and they thought i was going to die but proving that only the good die young i fooled them. My point is that there is a reason any time you pass out --dont be afraid to talk to your doctor --if he is over 40 he has heard it all before. A few blood pressure pills  or diet changes now might save you a lot of trouble later on.

Status: offline 		Just an FYI .. passing out during orgasm.. "may" be due to high blood pressure, a heart, brain,or lung(airway) defect... if it happens on a regular basis "Please" see your MD..

I have had several slave >30--40s with this type of thing and they can still have multiple orgasms, be tortured.. and worked hard.. if certain precautions are followed...

Status: offline 		I'm glad to know that I am not the only one who has extreme orgasms. I've almost passed out from having them.
The problem with me, however is that I strain a lot with my contractions, I've tried to relax during the burst of the orgasm, but I can't. Its resulted in a strained neck and back, hip cramps, and everything from constricted breathing to not being able to feel the keyboard after I get up and move to my computer for something.

I've also experienced vision changed, colors, lines of colors and spots in my vision, head spaceyness, fatigue, and a very, very fast pounding heartbeat, that will sometimes palpitate. I can be high from an orgasm from anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 minutes. No joke, and I don't have a partner to do this to me. I do this myself.
Also the screaming, if its really good, I wont' 'feel' the orgasms, but for some reason i'm screaming my head off and I wind up with a sore throat afterwords.

I'm just glad to know that, these kinds of orgasms do exist and that im just not crazy or anything. I tried to mention to my doctor about the effects my orgamss give me, but my doctor seemed a little emberassed.

Status: offline 		I'm inclined to agree with GraciousLady.  Tingling, especially of extremities (hands and feet) and oddly, the lips (the ones under your nose) along with light-headedness is classic hyperventilation).  But people faint, rather than actually become unconscious.  Try tightening your lips (the ones above your chin) and try breathing slow and steady and see if this helps.

Another possibility is vasovagal syncope.  Syncope is a sudden, brief loss of consciousness, the person usually hase cool extremities, a weak pulse and shallow breathing but spontaneously revives within a minute or so, oftentimes a bit confused.

Before orgasm the heart is racing, blood pressure rises, everything is tense.  Orgasm causes a release--a relaxation, and this can set off a vasovagal reaction where the blood pressure rapidly drops and the person essentially swoons or faints and collapses.  It does not need to me immediate either.

A treasured memory was a round of intense sex-play where my partner experienced several sustained orgasms within half an hour.  Then she abruptly realized that the pizza delivery person was due any minute, so she popped up off the carpet, threw on a robe and ran to the kitchen.  She was clearly dazed and I said: "you need to lie down" about that time she collapsed to the kitchen floor (gently since I caught her) after about a minute she opened her eyes and said: "what am I doing here." 

As long as you recover quickly you're probably fine. 

Make sure that you do not hold your breath, and tighten your abdomen just before or while orgasming--this is the Valsalva maneuver and can result in dangerously high blood pressure.

Caveat: Always check with your medical practitioner.  Have him bring you to orgasm, so he can check your blood pressure and pulse.  There should be no charge for this visit.

The reason you pass out is due to your breathing. you flood your braing with oxygen and the time you are out is the time that the oxygen levels are returning to normal. I used to do this to a former sub of mine a lot. In a way it is a gift you ahve, not many have it happen. Enjoy it and enjoy the thoughts of what he might be doing with you while you are out to please himself.

Status: offline 		I hyperventilate like crazy when I orgasm with my "bf"... I only passed out once and since then he has started talking me through breathing while I'm recovering. It helps quite a bit and gives him a chance to cuddle with me which he loves. It scared the crap out of me when I passed out because we do use breath play and we were concerned that he had just cut off my oxygen too long. We stopped that for a while and the hyperventilating didn't stop so I just chalk it up to his amazingness. Just enjoy!

Find a new doctor, immediately. Heart palpitations are not normal and need to be checked out.

Passing out from orgasm is how the term came to be associated with orgasm.  I see you have already explored the serious health issues so I leave you with this.  I've known a couple woman that faint during orgasm and they are all healthy.
