Your suggestion of what constitutes real slavery as opposed to something feigned is incorrect. Generalizations of that nature can always be contradicted and we needn't veer into the ridiculous to do so. Understand that genital mutilation is a fetish and something that body modification adherents may practice, but it isn't mandated nor indicative of a woman's station if she has no interest in doing such. And since modification is on my list of things he's able to alter according to his preferences, I'll candidly admit that doesn't include my clitoris nor does the idea remotely trip my switch.
In terms of the labia, that's often done for aesthetic purposes by many in an attempt to emulate images that have been promoted in the porn industry. However, there are some that undergo the procedure for medical reasons as well. There's also issues regarding symmetry that can prompt someone to do the same. The fetish is gaining momentum, but I haven't encountered any suggestion that the reduction heightens enjoyment save for those that had medical differences going in. Now I'm well aware some people find the idea of ridding themselves of all sensation is the ultimate goal. Rendering themselves a glorified hole for the owner. I don't believe either should be undertaken without great thought to the ramifications of their actions. I would grievously miss my clitoris and have selfishly elected to keep it intact.
