I seen that ad. I was not really offended by it. PA is tho lined up to your federal 1040 info is reported to PA. There is a 1 bln $ shortfall. I figure PA has 3 years prior to serious problems as that is when pension funding must be satisfied. Other states like IL, CA, FL, NJ, MI all is worse shape then PA. But- PA would fall in the 2nd round of bad states.

Oh my god. The idea that the government knows I'm behind in my taxes, and knows where I live, is horrifying to me. Horrifying! The Founding Fathers must be spinning in their graves. How did we ever let our country come to this? What happened to our freedoms?

By the way, if you report tax fraud you will get paid half (not absolutely sure about the %) of the recovered revenue. So, do not tell anybody anything about your finances.

A tax amnesty period? We had a few of them already. The last one was 16 years ago. PA is pretty sticky on payments to the state. I am expected a tax refund this month. So- being PA is not doing IOUs- I think we have a ways to go before we are CA or IL.

In the state sponsored advertisement the woman with the bot like voice kept calling the government target "Tom" as the camera zoomed in from a satellite view until it had zeroed in on a house in Pennsylvania.
