I don't watch much TV, but have caught enough of "Grey's Anatomy" while trying to figure out what all the hype is about Patrick Dempsey, the latest doctor hunk on tv.  The outward personalities of two characters in conflict, to me, reflect an exaggerated version of some of the passive vs. assertive personality types that subs are packaged in.

I see more subs with the "George" personality.   I've read him described in shows reviews as "lovable loser" and "wimpy" and other things.  He's attractive enough, in a way, but his meek personality and insecurity are what define him.  On the outward, he could be perceived as someone who might be "submissive" in bed.  A long shot?  Probably not.

Is it such a reach to consider that "Dr McDreamy" might be a hell of a sub in the bedroom or for the right woman? Hell no.   That's why -- at least to me -- if I were a nurse in the ward, I'd be spying HIM as possible submeat far more than George, even though side by side I find George more physically attractive.

It's so much about attitude.

Femdoms -- if you had to choose, which character would you sneak into the ER with for a femdom romp? And subs, which personality best fits you, and is it by choice?  Which would you rather be?  Are you outwardly dominant and assertive?

Never heard of this show until you mentioned it - Unless it's sports center at eleven o'clock or one of the cable news networks, I probably watch less TV than you.

I fit neither character. I'll just define myself by saying that if I'm with someone I like.... and they're harassed by a boss, co-worker, student, neighbor man-on-the-street or mail man, and for some strange reason they can't take care of it themselves, I'll have a friendly little talk with that person and they'll never ever harass you again. I even talk to ''mean brothers'' if need be.

 It's neither dominance or being assertive, but rather having the ability to be very persuasive when face to face.  ; }

No clue about the show. Medical dramas do not interest me at all... spent too much time with my mother in and out of the hospitals growing up.

Given the choice between a slave with a submissive personality and a dominant one, I'd choose the dominant one...male or female.

Love the show.

I wouldn't identify with either one, and I wouldn't pick either one to play with given the choice.

Helpful little devil, ain't I?

I have seen the show and hate it, though I have a weak spot for some of the characters and George is one of them. This selfless, caring, loving man who will do anything for his friends.

There is no way that man is a sub, though.

As much as I like an assertive submissive, I'd have to choose George.  He seems to have more integrity, honesty, etc than Dr. McDreamy...Him cheating on his wife with Meredith and all...LOL.

Can ya tell I'm a fan?

I only really watch Lost........ St Elsewhere, Mash are the last ones I watched a few episodes of.
hospital themed dramas tend to depress me though I did watch Kingdom hospital the horror series when it was on.

Saw one really gross episode of E.R. once with the flesh eating virus I watched for the gross out scene but couldn’t get into the show.

I don't often watch the series, but last night it was on when there was absolutely nothing on the other 29 channels we have, so I actually did.

As it turns out it was Mrs McDreamy who caused the separation by having an affair with Dr McDreamy's best friend...

Hope I didn't spoil it for anyone! We're usually about a year behind the most others in getting these series, so I'm not used to knowing something others don't.

I've not seen the show, but from what is being described, characterwise, I would have to say George.  I'm not up for a power struggle.

See, I don't think George is a sub - I think he fits much better into what I call a Dom in Disguise. The kind who comes across all meek and mild until he gets his chaps on. That's when he shows his true colours.

My money is on McDreamy

You may well be very right, MsSophie!  I haven't seen the show, so I have no feel for the characters.
So I have decided that the one who should be at My feet is Donald Trump!

Heh, you didn't spoil it.  They must still be behind wherever you're watching from because a lot has happened on the show since then.

Rest Easy, it was a re-run - no surprises spoiled...I pick McDreamy.

Well I am glad not everyone likes the "McDreamy" physicallity... or we'd all be fighting over the same darn men.

For me, I think "McDreamy" would make a much better submissive.  Or maybe his personality just meshes better with me.

Half the time I just want to drop kick George.  He irritates me. Can't put my finger on why exactly..  Hmm..
