Is it alright to insult someone for spelling of grammatical error and if not why do so many get away with it?

It's a petty simple pathetic fuck that does it.

Most of these people wouldn't have the spine to say the shit to your face they do here. It's internet bravery.

I would and do.

I send submissions and reports back because of poor grammar and spelling all the time. If I meet that person face to face I tell them why.

My business is about being and looking competent and presenting well. Sloppy and lazy doesn't cut it.

How far does a CV that looks like it was written by a 5 year old go towards impressing a prospective employer? About as far as the shredder.

Aww, did someone bump their lame troll thread because nobody replied then get moderated for it?  That's priceless.

~stef

There you have it moderator lets be even across the board a taunt and an insult......go get him or her.

Once again, do not call out moderators on a thread.  If you have an issue with a post, hit the REPORT button.  And for the record, the only thing you were called was "someone".  We are truly sorry if you take issue with that word, however, it is not a TOS violation.

Talk about your slow customer service! How long did this post take to get approved?

This wasn't approved when I last looked-but it's not customer service at all, because you *aren't a customer*. If you want customer service then go to a site which requires a joining fee.

I think it is wrong to mock some one for their spelling.

Then again, I wood.

If you do it at your job I suppose you have to, no? We aren't at your job here and it's not anyone's place to do so.

If they're doing it here..They aren't trying to be helpful, now are they. How small of a person do you have to be to do this to a stranger after you think you've seen something in them you don't care for. People can make it out to be anything they want to but it's petty behavior. If you've done it own up to it.

I'll own up to it: I've done it here, but usually only when it's so bad that I have trouble reading what they're saying, so usually I'm bitching about paragraphing or lack of punctuation, rather than spelling.

Unless they boast about being a professional writer or something similar, when I consider them fair game for bitchy nitpicking whether their writing as a whole is hard to read or not.

Funny thing about my personality is that it goes everywhere with me.

Some people are hardwired to do it and some not. I'm not hardwired to do it compulsively, otherwise this place would be a mess of red pen. As the corrections seem to be done to people who I believe deserve mocking and whose opinion I don't care about (usually because they have shown themselves to be a complete asshole over an extended period of time) then my care factor on their reaction and that of others, isn't high either.

It's petty of them not to suck it up and improve their language skills, really.
