Greetings I guess this post might be seen as wrong by many, but so be it. There is allot of discussion, if X believes so and so or do so and so, are they really Gorean? My opinion on this is that different people get different things out of the books. Obiously since the books where never written as a manual to living there will be different interpretations and different opinions on what the important parts are. If someone see the Master/slave dynamic as the important part I say let them, it is not what I see as the important part, but if that part is what give meaning to some then let them. I know some occultists that look at the Gorean lifestyle as a way to channel qualities they want to themselves, and it is just a tool or an extended ritual if you will. Some might just find the trappings meaningful. I do not understand the point in worrying what others might get out of the Gor books and what parts they might base their lifestyle on. I only worry what I get out of the books and what Aswad thinks about it, others can think, do and live as they will for all I care as long as their lifestyle and behavior do not affect me it is not my business what they do. I wish you well.
