I know the guy, nothing new.

The crux of the matter is that the class war is disguised. You have to understand the mentality of the elite to know. They will never stop, and they always tryt to divide us. Divide and conquer, ever hear of it ?

Bernie is about 4 years behind the curve in that clip, kindly take a gander at what one multi billionaire said in 2006  :

“There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”   Warren Buffett  NY Times  26, November 2006.

Yes THAT Warren Buffett, said it.

It is not really a problem we do not understand or the World have not faced before. The solutions are simple and effective. The french invented guillotine, there are plenty of guns still around. Peaceful solutions are generally not effective.

Which is why I threw it out here.

Sure I've heard of it. I see it every day, right here on this board. Left vs. right, while the elite laughs at us all the way to the bank.

Yes, that's true. How soon we forget. Thanks for the reminder.

In my opinion, a violent solution cannot be won in today's world. The solution lies in enlightenment, which would lead to a united people. A divided people will only lead to a continued, encroaching enslavement.

It's very unlikely event that the people will ultimately unite. Besides, what makes you think that the power-elites wouldn't be able to see a potential threat developing long before it becomes feasible to implement? They have almost all the power, wealth, think tanks, and weapons; placing them so far ahead of the game that they'll almost certainly get it all... as George Carlin once predicted. The people have been asleep for too long, and will pay the price accordingly.

Besides, should the day ever come when the power-elite parasites can no longer feed upon the masses, the masses then become expendable. So enjoy what freedoms and creature comforts remain and forget any foolish notions of eliminating these parasites, for darker days are ahead.

Nice speech but it will fall on deaf ears...too much cash cover them.

FR

There's one thing y'all r fergittin.

You don't need to take over the country, to storm the Whitehouse and install yourself as dictator. You just make them AFRAID. I can think of about a half dozen terrorist acts that could be committed without leaving the house. Sorry, I just don't think it's a good idea to spread it around but I assure you, it can be done. More, pick them off from time to time. Callem up, that neighbor's music is too loud again and then POP. Dealing from a position of strength requires a reasonable amount of security. If they can be eating a donut one minute and be a statistic the next, that is not very secure.

They better never get people like me against them. Problem is they are getting close to that. And they just never stop.

Bernie is cool, gotta get him in a room with Ron Paul, Trafficant and a few others and see what comes of it. Some don't like these people, some don't like me. I call a spade a spade.

At least a few politicians speak up once in a while.

T

OOOO just saw the end of that, Bernie goes off on Burnbank ? I'll have to watch that later.

Why would they? It shows the end result of the free market in action, and renders check and balance arguments useless.

But let's not regress into another pointless partisan pot-shot exchange. The fact remains that both the left and right sell fear, and the majority suck it up like crack whores overdue for their fixes.

There's no way out. The power-elites have us on the ropes, we're going down, and they will own it all. No sense in worrying about it. Laugh at the stupidity of the masses, and enjoy life while you still can.

AnimusRex -> RE: Senator Bernie Sanders Explains Class War (12/6/2010 7:05:01 PM)

There was a time about a decade ago when I would have laughed off the phrase "Class warfare" as an antiquated relic.

But I have to admit, it is true, it is happening, and yes, they are winning.

Yes, and the righties have avoided this thread so far.

Yes, they're winning; but I'm not in Mustard's "no hope" camp just yet.

Termyn8or -> RE: Senator Bernie Sanders Explains Class War (12/6/2010 9:17:33 PM)

"There's no way out"

True, but realizing that it is just part of a natural cycle helps. I am a problem solver by nature, and it is actually my work. Against all odds I fight and win, but this is a different story. You can't change future history on a large enough scale to fix this, perhaps even as distator of the world.

I've tried to go through all the promulgations and I keep coming up witht he same answer - it aitn't gonna happen. So then what are our options ?

I have outlined it before and don't feel like doing it again, but the most logical path is to simply ride the storm out. There is no choice anyway, so why get all flustered about it ? People in the last depression learned to survive, as will we. And perhaps we'll be stronger and wiser for it.

In ten years I'll be sixty, and in another ten after, seventy. The world is for the young bucks, fucks or cucks. Changing of the guard ? Perhaps.

None of us really have much choice in the matter.
