ORIGINAL: tweakabelle Could someone please explain to me how the question of whether the killer was Jewish or not is in any way relevant? I haven't heard any suggestion that he claimed to act in the name of Judaism, or any suggestion of anti-Semitism ... In the absence of such claims, surely the question of his Jewishness or non-Jewishness is irrelevant. The only connection I have seen is a claim made by pahunkaboy, who seems unable to distinguish between satanism and Judaism. (Why am I not surprised he can't?) Surely we need a more authoritative source than that. Please, let's stop taking such gibberish seriously. It can only fuel anti-Semitism. Whether Loughner is Jewish or not is not about anti-Semitism. It is about gathering information. Nor, indeed, in the light of RealOne's thread, is it relevant whether he is Jewish or not, as the thesis of that thread is that he was an involuntary, programmed assassin. But that is something to rather be addressed in RealOne's thread. In any case, if he was an involuntary, programmed assassin, not one of his assertions ought to be glibly believed without thorough verification. However, it does is clear to me that a conscienceless, psychopathic fraction of Jews do constitute a significant portion of a group of conscienceless, psychopathic people of various cross-cultural origins that are behind most of the mischief of the past centuries, and that they do tend to recruit sacrificial lambs, such as Loughner perchance may be, from their own ranks. So if it could be confirmed that Loughner is a Jew, that would in itself not signify anything, but it might be a pointer for further investigation. As for pahunkboy's assertion, Satan does is present in the Old Testament, so there is something to it that the Jews, at least for some time, and perchance more so than other populations, did worship Satan.
