Rule, I completely understand your point, but consider that for Gorean men and women it's about more than the simple act of theft, which you and about a million other people of your generation have managed to rationalize to yourselves. For us, there is the ancillary issue of supporting the author's work through our purchases, which allows him to have further work widely published and available for our enjoyment and enlightenment. I've had a lot of my own writings on living Gorean republished online without my permission. When I find them, however, almost every single one was republished by a non-Gorean gamer site. Each of those that I know of that have been published by those whom I know to live Gorean in this society have first asked me for my permission (which I routinely grant - I mean it's not like my writings have any earth-shattering significance nor much value outside the community of Goreans). Any behavior can be rationalized. In the end, to those who don't understand our objections to cheating the author of honest recompense for his efforts, the confusion is understandable. It's just a Gorean thing, perhaps. Good luck to you. Bear-
