Hmm.. interesting idea.

I do not see why a Gorean couldn't make a good president...

It would be nice to see someone who has a reverence for nature and the belief that preserving it is of great importance, someone who would defend personal liberty over a 'big brother knows best and will watch you' mentality, and someone who would help to combat the process of big business and big religion taking over the process of government.

Interesting concept and thinks would be wonderful. All thou some of the things we might would want to see might not be feasible. Like legalized slavery LOL......LOL would have to say Our choice of presidents might have good ideas but a lot would get vetoed and Our great wonderful feminist friends would probably have someone sitting on a roof with a rifle to take Him out......not a good thought.....LOL....this girl herself would vote for a Gorean Master if He stepped up to plate Long as she knew He was a wise and good Master....

A Gorean President, well under Gorean politics he would have declare himself UBAR, condsidering what is going on now.

And it is not just the Femist, think of all the "Special Interest" Groups that ah..for lack of a better word give millions of dollars to the government so they can get their way. Gorean Honor would not allow that to continue.

A Gorean president would not be permitted to succeed. Slavery aside, as Nosathros said, the shenanigans that go on now would be something a Gorean president would have to change. And if you think about it seriously, he would either be assassinated or someone somewhere would find/create a reason to have him impeached in disgrace.
But it would be nice to have a President who didn't play the games, and just got the job done based on what he felt was right, not just what was gonna benefit his political career and his retirement.
Hell, i'd settle for a few Goreans in the the Senate and Congress, that would actually have a greater impact thatn a Gorean President. Look at who actually holds the power, President or the collective body of the the Senate and Congress?

Hello Lord Shadow.. you do have a point.. but I am afraid, with this President, the powers of the Congress and the Senate have been written away in signing statements.... there is no real power to be had there anymore.. sadly! No checks...

Very good point. Gorean honor would not allow a lot of things. Thinks that would cause a biggggggg problam unless We could convince the majority to go Gorean!!!!! LOL

It's not that only a few want (or that many don't want) to see a Gorean President. It's just that realisticly, it wouldn't happen. He would not be apart of the smear campain that his rivals would start. He would not take bribs from various "special interest" groups to gain thier votes. Indeed, a few of those groups would be on a "hit list" to be shut down. His campain would not be of interest to all the males in the country, it would only be of interest to the men. Same goes for the females. If you learn anything about Goreans, it's that they are pragmatic.

In the U.S., we already have a president who lives in his own fantasy world. What more harm could a Gorean president bring? At least, that president might think things through.

Or at least, that's my vote.
