I won't give you another link, just to be original. Since getting her pregnant is not an option, have her buy a good breast pump and start off by using it a few times a day, for about 5 mints to begin with and work up to 15 or 20 mintues, which is a normal 'nusing session.' Then work up to doing it about 6 or 7 times a day, which is ideal until her milk comes in. After that, its maintance, and since breast milk is based on 'supply and demand' she will need to pump EVERY DAY at least 2 or 3 time as day and then their is the issue as to what she will do with the milk. When I was nursing my munchkin, I was told to consume more calaries since my son was taking out so many a day, they said to increase the number of calaroes a day by about 300 to 500, depending. Her breasts will get sore in the begining and her nipples my get really chapped, but she can find balm for that in the store by the nursing prodcuts. Try roughing up her nipples a bit with a washcloth, that helps as well. Remember, her breasts will probably get engorged which is VERY painfull, so being consistant about this is mandatory, if she won't stick with this for some time and really work on it, it's not the best idea. If either of you has any questions feel free to email me. I can help her get a schedule or give her ideas for pumps. Yes, I have done induced lactation after I stopped nursing {only for a short time} and I was told that its easier since I had done it already. Good luck.
