where do you draw the line? should i be able to put on a guys suit and bind my bewbies and say to the passport office that i am a guy? But lets say Canada did do that, would the person be allowed entry to the extremely uptight and by the book US? hmmm I somehow dont think so.

Once surgery has been done and the docs presented to the passport office then the passport can be changed. What does the US govt do in these situations? If a transgender person commits a crime, which jail are they sent to in the US?

Stella did a thread on this very subject a while back, Tj, discussing an unsuccessful visit to the US.

As for the prisons, it pretty much goes by the plumbing you have, rather than plumbing you want. I think that if an inmate was already receiving hormone therapy, the prisons are required to continue that. Should be an easy google, but I'm calling it a night.

I know two transwomen that are terrified of being put in the male population and would expect to be repeatedly gang raped as a result. One of which consented to being racially profiled and hassled rather than make a fuss about it for fear of a possible trumped-up charge of resisting arrest.

How ridiculous, requiring people to present accurate identification before boarding a plane.

Seriously, I wish we could get those folks down here to write polling-place laws.

I don't think the concern with this regulation is that it requires people to present accurate identification but that it requires men to wear pants.
