Status: offline 		I just had my first scammer tonight. He stated he was a sub and asked for webcamming (is that a word). Anyway I told him I didn't have webcam capabilities and he proceeded to call me a bi-sexual curious MAN. Insulting to say the least. Had to block him in the end. Sadly the spammers are the ones that give the good guys and gals a bad name.

Though to me a fake is someone who is deliberately misrepresenting themselves. Usually for the purposes of getting wank fodder (perhaps a guy says he is 25 when he is really 52), scamming or trolling or baiting or using as a sock account.

Sometimes it can be difficult to differentiate the wannabes and those that chicken out from the fakes. There are plenty of real people on here though.

Why on Earth are you messaging people who haven't been on here in months or years? The site shows when someone last logged in, so I only look at accounts that have logged in within the last few days. Those are the ones who are likely to be currently searching.
And if they don't say anything in their profile, they probably aren't interested in being contacted. If you limit yourself to people who actually look like they want to be contacted currently, and are a possible match for you, that's usually a much shorter list and worth the time to write a personal message to.
I get around a 50-60% reply rate to my messages, but I don't send many messages.

Yup, i just checked, i`m real too XD

I suspected as much that there would be a fair degree of false and fake accounts on here (false = scammers, Fake = Lies/Misrepresentation)

Hanging around ing the chatrooms too is a good way to learn things and show that you are not a lie :P
