Obama apparently has no objection to foreign contributors.

Chris Walker, a British citizen who lives outside London, told The Post he was able to make two $5 donations to President Obama’s campaign this month through its Web site while a similar attempt to give Mitt Romney cash was rejected. It is illegal to knowingly solicit or accept money from foreign citizens.

Walker said he used his actual street address in England but entered Arkansas as his state with the Schenectady, NY, ZIP code of 12345.

“When I did Romney’s, the payment got rejected on the grounds that the address on the card did not match the address that I entered,” he said. “Romney’s Web site wanted the code from the back of card. Barack Obama’s didn’t.”

In September, Obama’s campaign took in more than $2 million from donors who provided no ZIP code or incomplete ZIP codes, according to data posted on the Federal Election Commission Web site.

“We are not suggesting that just foreign traffic by itself is a problem,” said Peter Schweizer, president of the GAI. “But for a campaign that is very sophisticated in its fund-raising capabilities, they do not make one effort to try to even see or ask somebody to check a box that says they are a US citizen.”

The OP is worried about people not typing in their zipcodes correctly and Mr Walker whom between the OP's wild imagination, coupled with the 'hard hitting' NY Post (Who routinely brings us the real news like "Woman Catches Nipple In Elevator Door") uncovering a shocking plot to buy the whitehouse in increments of $5, amounting to, well, you know.

Meanwhile, OP cares not that he and the other "paupers" (in terms of how much they matter) in his ranks are getting their noses rubbed in it by a HANDFUL OF MEN who have a history of trying to subvert the US Government to their will and financial enrichment:
http://www.heraldextra.com/news/national/money-men-who-are-top-donors-to-romney/article_87b1fe5d-5d05-5f74-993b-a239f4b53eca.html

And I find it utterly hysterical the OP is concerned about some Brit sending in $5 and then the WHOPPER of calling a big cross section of the more likely LEGITIMATE small donor donations, which are really the mainstay of the Obama campaign, when you have Sheldon Adelson as his front man. If like every other rich republican, "Home is were  the money belt is", ADELSON IS PRACTICALLY CHINESE

Foreign cash seems to be a problem with the Democrats. Both Clintons were in trouble with the same type of problems. Just greed, overachievers?
Obama seems to be a little short, it is not clear why.
http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/General+News/141913/Obama-Campaign-Borrows-15M-from-Bank-of-America.html

Otherwise, it is interesting to look at the lists of the top contributors:

http://www.opensecrets.org/pres12/contrib.php?cycle=2012&id=N00000286
http://www.opensecrets.org/pres12/contrib.php?cycle=2012&id=N00009638

Romney seems to be strongly pushed by the financial interest (although Obama is not far behind). Obama has in addition organizations among top contributors that are heavily dependent on the government like universities, medical and information/spy operations (Google, Microsoft).

Also, interesting are the differences in spending:
http://www.opensecrets.org/pres12/index.php

In general, Obama has raised much more and he has spent much more as well.

http://www.opensecrets.org/news/2012/10/bank-of-america-and-billionaires-fund-conventions.html

A source that sums it all up for me, financially....The donors, the loans, ect....

Missing from the Republican convention's list of donations: small checks. The committee collected just $1,200 in unitemized contributions (donations of $200 or less) and just six donations from people giving between $200 and $500. In total, the Republicans had 304 itemized donations (including in-kind donations).

The Democrats, on the other hand, relied heavily on small donors, bringing them a bit closer to the "People's Convention" they said was their goal. The Charlotte committee listed $866,000 in unitemized contributions, and had 1,558 donors who gave between $200 and $500, more than five times the total number of donors to the Republican convention.

Maybe it's just tea party hysteria over a Brit making a donation to an American presidential nominee? After all, the constitution probably bans that, or something: this guy could be King George slipping the Kenyan a fiver to rip up the declaration of Independence or something...

I see that turning a blind eye to an illegality is still the norm when it suits one's desires.

All this is coming from one source... GAI.

But even the NY Post is saying both parties have received such contributions.

Quite.
I'm sure you were complaining about the billion odd dollars that the chimp got from the house of Saud with the same billious outrage you're displaying towards the Kenyan getting a five spot from a Brit, after all.

Indeed, please note the massive republican voter fraud and voter registration frauds perpetrated as of late, and excused by same.
