One theory ( and one that I like) about how to define the slave mindset is the SODS principle.
The SODS principle;
Submission
Obedience
Direction
Structure.
Submission- A slave has a deep and fundamental craving to please. It is hardwired into her. It is who she is, without being all that she is.
Obedience- A slave feels the absolute need to obey in her soul. she does not want to lead, and only does so when she must.
Direction- she needs guidance, direction, goals, rules, and clear specific intent.
Structure- Discipline is structure. Structure is formed from the rules, rituals and protocols that that define the extent of the Three Powers. The Three Powers are control of her Body, Behavior, and Attitude.

The more exalted and esoteric knowledge of BDSM is only open to a few select people - those whose minds are able to catch such knowledge as it flies on high, like feathers carried by the four winds of the planet, in spiritual sacks with which they alone have been blessed. It is in reference to this allegory that such people have become known as Windbags.

Castle Realm is a (thankfully) extinct website that turned BDSM into a vomit-inducing Mills and Boon romance novel.

I believe they may have been the ones that coined the gut-wrenching phrase "submission is a gift". If they didn't, I shall still blame them for it anyway. The bastards.

Good. Someone else who takes issue with the "submission is a gift" propaganda. Kudos to you. Whether you want them from me or not.

~FRing it~

SODS was too mainstream for me. I subscribe to JDWIFTYTD (Just Do What I Fucking Tell You To Do). Pretty much covers all the bases I need covered.

As an aside, "submission is a gift"...die, stupid catchphrase, die!!!

P.S. think I developed a tiny bit of a crush on Peonforher. You give good snark

I'm going with the FUCK principle:

Find the person who inspires me to want to be his slave
Understand what he wants and do my best to give it to him
Create an environment that allows 'us' to grow together and thrive
Know that what he does is for the best of both of us.

Hey, this shit is fun!

I loves it.

Hey, myotherself, after reading your post I felt I had to perv you.

OMG, you are hilarious and deliciously sarcastic. That was the best and funniest narrative I've ever read.

Damn, I like you!

I think I like ST's JDWIFTYTD theory. That's pretty much how I see it.
I wish I ever would own someone who said, my submission is a gift!
Let me show you my gift. (Insert evil grin along with compromising positions and a good caning)

I read that and would have fallen to my knees had I not been sitting down. I feel this strange urge to submit... to something. Oh god, I am so new at this, will someone mentor me? I feel so doormattish because my soul now aches to submit.

Okay, I am never taking the green pill again.

Are you sure it's not just gas pains? They can feel the same sometimes.

And once again, we have the single guy telling everyone else (most of whom are in happy successful relationships) that they're doing it wrong.......

Lets cut the kid some slack! He ONLY said it was a theory he liked, one of many. Yeah, its silly but there are sillier things, I mean DO have a gore section.

Kid, this is a special place, despite being online his place has some very real people, many, who, have dobe, thia, well for a long time. Hang out, read, and post original stuff and you will do fine.
