I tried googling about this, but all I am getting are the symptoms of a yeast infection, and no shit shirlock, i know what the symptoms are. I want to know why they feel the way they do. the itching the burning the horrible swelling that some of them can cause, why sometimes i get little red raised areas that act, look like and burn like a cut. but are not cuts.

have you been tested for stds?

I've never had raised welts or bumps from a simple yeast infection. That sounds more like an std.

Yeast, in the body, is an active organism, its a fungus. They attach to skin cells. The more you scratch or rub, the deeper they burrow, for lack of a better word. The moister the area, the more it thrives.

There is over the counter medicine you can buy for the itch... or you can use plain yogurt, it has to be plain, no vanilla or anything, and instill it using a plastic applicator from a tampon.

We don't have either of those, but I am supposed to be able to go get some diflucan for it tomorow, and he did run out to get me some anti itch cream but he got me vagisil an the moment I put it on it started burning like I had doused in lighterfluid an lit my pussy up, so I am calling their company to complain, and then going to go to walmart and get some monistat. Vagisil and most other creams always cause the negative side affects for me listed on the possible could cause................ but i can stand it on the outside of my bits.

Scratching, even just a little, will further inflame your already tender girly bits. That's why the Vagisil burned so bad when you applied it.
I used to use Lanacaine. It would numb the area a little. Don't know if they still sell it. You could ask your doc to prescribe xylocaine ointment. That works like a charm. Doesn't cure it but at least calms everything down while you're treating yourself.

You have my sympathy. The itching and burning are maddening.

A bad yeast infection is just another sign that your body is out of whack, and you need to pay attention to your health.

Please stop trying to fix your entire life at once and instead try to fix one thing at a time.

Don't modify your entire diet, just fix breakfast. Oatmeal is good. If you don't like cooked oatmeal, make your own granola. It's easy, I have a great recipe I use.

If you can eat a good breakfast for a month or so, THEN move on to lunch. I think you'd have more success.

smartsub, I don't scratch i kind of rub a little, similar if you were masturbating, but not vigerous or hard or very much only did that twice.


and I am sure the skin doesn't like that any better than any potential scratching lol.


I wouldn't be so quick to blame vagisil giving you holy shit crotch on fire burning on scratching right away, a lot of people are sensitive to monistat and vagisil, I haven't been able to use them internally for years, and I can put monistat on the outside vulva, so I thought ok I should be able to use vagisil no prob.


Nope, instant crotch on fire dear god help me reaction. I am super lucky this one is mild, last one I got because of being on antibiotics for H Pylori, I swelled up down there so bad I was almost un recognizable as a vagina, , burnt like I had thrown acid on it, and got bright red burn like redness and itching an pain. I would have sawed my crotch off if it was possible.

Fabulous tip. next time I will because any time I have been on anti biotics a few days later here comes miss yeast infection to come keep me company and torment me, all though this one I didn't get from antibiotics

Remember - yeast infections thrive on yeast. Cut out sugar, alcohol (especially beer), breads, anything that converts to sugar or has yeast in it. Eat a boatload of plain yogurt regularly just to keep your system ok.

Also, recurrent yeast infections are a symptom of HIV in women. Have you been tested?

Umm.. hon... its gonna hurt when you first put it on. And its not intended for the inside, just the outside between the lips. You can try a warm bath.... or a cool cloth pressed between your legs. I would go get some yogurt as well... you are a far better woman than I to wait till tomorrow... lol

Yup. it's been a while but all my STD checks come back 100 percent nada. But I could go ask to be tested again.

Which did he get you? Monistat has internal and external, Vagisil only has external, unless they came out with a new product. Check the label.

he got me vagisil because even the generic monistat was 21 dollars and this was 8. However in the past when I was being driven crazy and miserable I put monistat on the vulva and the labia, because it's what we had here, my mom uses it, and since she is always getting yeast infections there is normally tons around, just not tonight lol. and it helped the external burn and it, and didn't hurt at all. However if I put monistat inside my vagina it burns, it's why the dr always gets me diflucan instead of creams.

The Monistat burns? I thought you said the Vagisil did.

Ok.. Vagisil is just for the vulva and lips... not for the vagina itself. Its only for external application.

Monistat has two different creams... the one you insert, and the other, usually in a much smaller tube, that you put on the vulva and lips. Monistat doesnt work for me, but I dont have the burning you talk about. Not saying you cant, its just not a normal side effect.

A cool cloth or yogurt will help with the itch until you get the Diflucan. Personally, I use AZO for yeast infections, over the counter, until I can get my hands on a Doctor.
