Favourite found toys--Fishing Bells
I have often been asked about the fishing bells that are mentioned in my profiles elsewhere. Here is something I wrote about them when I first discovered them, in my earliest days, September 93. This isn’t soft porn, just a charming anecdote a couple of people might find interesting.
After I first discovered BDSM, I found myself travelling quite a bit to play with various people as I explored this new world, examining and sorting out what my interests might be. One such trip was to visit a lovely man, gary, inSan Francisco. One of the shopping forays I undertook withgary, took us to a sporting goods store.
By this time, we had played enough to be familiar and comfortable with each other. We went to shop for fishing weights. I had complained that the 2lb weight I had attached, in a recent scene, togary’s parachute was too much too fast and didn't achieve the effect I wanted--he agreed.
As a putterer and designer, I have always enjoyed hardware and other stores that carry do-dads, oddments, and intriguing bits of 'stuff' that I might use for some unusual purpose, most often for something quite other than that for which they were designed, which is a common trait for the creative in the scene. (Gosh, did that sound self-aggrandising? Soz)
Anyway, I found myself in my customary browsing mode, fingering the weights, eyeballing the different packages of this and that, when my eye fell upon a most intriguing little object. Yes, it was a bell! Copper, trapazoid, square-rimmed--and other properties that looked enormously fun to explore. (http://www.eburch.biz/fishing_bells.htm ) I picked out two of them.
When we got home, anxious to play again,garyfound out—quite with a quite vocal response--that these intriguing little implements were NOT 'just' bells. We were in the middle of my 'mostest favouritest' play, CBT. He was chained standing, where I had access to his back side for the flogging and front side for--well, the 'usual' front side stuff. His balls, already stretched in the parachute, weighted steadily more and more, took the attachment of the bells not at all well (she says with an evil smile). Nor did the rest of him.
As soon as he began screeching, I simply had to gag him, though not without a smile of sadist-faction (groaner). Furthermore, naturally, as his body strove to fend of this 'irritation' he shook and bucked, making the bells ring. That's the fun part. Making those bells ring.
During the rest of my stay, all I had to do was ring the bells to getgary's eyes rolling. One evening, as I was waiting for him outside the cinema, I was musing on the juxtaposition of beauty, the supposed darkness of this lifestyle, the pleasure of the movie, the blue sky and
palm trees. Thengarycame up to me, asking what I was thinking about.
I turned to him with a calm smile. "Bells”, I said. His face took on a strained smile and he walked me to the car with a great deal of deference, quite different than the casual friendliness of the afternoon so far. He became very, very polite.
Initially,garyhadn't seen that the bells were attached to cross-pressure clamps, with serrated edges, no less. But I had noticed. Right away. The memory is sooooo, delicious.)
I couldn't leave them on very long, of course, as many subs have found to their dismay since. They were the cause of a most gratify episode of whimpering and begging with a different sub, but that's another story.
Long ago and far away, but still, I ask myself, 'For whom might the bells toll?' [jeez, looweez]
