The actual city starts just North of Everett, ends just South of Olympia. Starts again 10 miles North of Portland, ends ten miles South of it. Then there is Salem and environs. Then there is Eugene / Springfield. Everything else is small town or rural. Nowhere I just mentioned has hot Summers. Nor is humidity a thing. At least, as regards XS heat. It does rain. Some say, it rains a lot. But most of the place stays green most of the year. And the temperature trend is looking pretty good, here.
