Not sure how seriously to take this, but I kinda like that she seems to be well spoken and ready to break with the stereotype that we're all weird freaks

I believe she's serious. Toronto is a slightly strange place, but I've only visited a few times. I imagine that right now, anyone is preferable to a living caricature that they've got now. It's a shame, because aside from his drug and alcohol issues, Ford seems to be a good fiscal manager, but then again, I'm on the outside looking in.

I'm more concerned with what changes will be sought rather than someone's past or current personality. The fact she's a domme is media fodder to throw around on the airwaves. I'm a freak but I won't vote for a freak for the mere fact they're a freak. It would certainly depend on the substance of her campaign and how she plans on handling the city's current dilemmas and figuring out ways to promote a positive economy for everyone, even the non-freaks. But, that's just me.

Another Canadian domme, Terri Jean-Bradford has become a very prominent campaigner who has fought a wonderful campaign to overturn archaic laws against sex workers. And it will be nice for Toronto to have a mayor who can stay sober on the job. There have been more unlikely Mayors and as a Londoner it still hasn't sunk after six years that a twat like Boris Johnson is running this city. As the comedian Stewart Lee observed; "this is not Italy where the Mayor is just the bloke who has touched the most women in the town."
