VERY local to us. I will refrain from repeating the unsubstantiated "rumors" that are floating around, but like with most stories there seems that there is more to what happened than what is being reported "officially". But you are correct, research and time spent getting to know each other is invaluable. For all parties. Everybody's lives a screwed up in this one.
From a Dominant's prospective, it is scary as hell to see the assumptions that are automatically made by law enforcement and the vitriol by the District Attorney's office. Talk about a RUSH TO JUDGMENT! I personally know some local folks that want to participate in the mob that gets their hands on the defendants.
But, I temper the above with the realization that facts may in fact bear out that CONSENT was withdrawn (and when) and that a heavy hand should be called for. I just want to read/see/hear more than one side of the story on this one.
