Gauge -> Bondage on a Budget (6/24/2014 11:07:24 PM)

I made this thread by a request of sorts:

I know a bunch of people that cannot afford to go out and get a lot of expensive bondage equipment, but I do know that some decent things do not have to break the bank. In this thread I am more interested in relatively simple items that can be made yourself.

Hardware stores, dollar stores and craft places can be a haven for fun items that all can be used safely and not put you in the poorhouse.

Here are a few things that I did:

Surf all of the bondage equipment sites that you can. Then go to a hardware store and use your imagination. For instance, I bought about 20 to 30 feet of chain (got cheap bolt cutters for it), some split "quick" links, a few O rings, several of these, a few cat collars for wrists and ankles (not for heavy bondage obviously), a couple sweat bands for the wrists and ankles to cushion the cat collars and PRESTO! Restraint system.

Some decent sized dowel, some screw eye hooks, a little sandpaper and varnish and you have some spreader bars. Those should not take much weight or pulling, but can be used effectively for doing just simple positions. You will want some more sturdy material for things that will take some weight.

A simple sleep mask for a blindfold (in your local pharmacy), go to the dollar store for some wooden clothespins and maybe some plastic ones if you like colors (ones with wide flat ends are great for impromptu nipple clamps, but try them out on your hand first to make sure they don't go fucking crazy tight), if you are creative, you can make a simple ball gag with a length of rope and a perforated plastic golf ball, or buy a simple one. Chopsticks or sturdy dowel and rubber bands can make good tit clamps too.

The Man's a fan of kitchen stores also. Wooden spoons for sting. If you can find a cutting board or cheese board with a handle, that makes a perfectly fine paddle. Bag clips for nipple clamps if she can tolerate them.

Pet stores or dollar store: Collar and leash for leading naked slaves around the house. Squeaky toys to hold in hand to make a noise if unable to speak. Bark collars that emit a zap, to be used around the thigh, not around the neck. People don't have nearly as much fat and fur for padding as dogs do.

Sewing stores: They sell a wheel which is used to transfer a pattern to cloth. It's like a wartenburg wheel but won't draw blood.

Drugstores: Little hair clips to clip on other parts of the body and hit off. Hair brushes for spanking.

If you want a crop and don't have a tack shop nearby, go to www.statelinetack.com, best prices I know of. You can use hobbles for ankle/wrist restraints also.

If you're doing bondage, go spend under $20 at the pharmacy for safety or EMT shears.

Hell, If you're a handyman half the fun of BDSM is making your own crap.

True. Got any examples to share with us? That is kind of the point here. I started this for someone who is new and wanted suggestions.

If you have a weight bench, it doubles very nicely as a bondage bench.

A wooden sawhorse, get some thick foam padding and some leather or vinyl material for the top, wrap around the top and staple gun it to the underneath side, get screw eye hooks for on the legs to hook restraints and you have a spanking bench.

We don't use condoms for their intended purpose but use them for temperature play, ice torture. Cut a cardboard paper towel roll lengthwise to make it the width you want, put tape around it to hold it that size, put a condom in the top and fill with water then place in freezer. Once frozen, cut the tape to remove the cardboard, run the dildo under cool water before using so it doesn't freeze to skin. Do not use condoms with a spermicide.

- The cuffs are homemade (a few leather tools and you're good to go with restraints, collars, etc).
- Bolt a few belts onto a portable massage table and voila! A portable BONDAGE table.
- A coat rack, some wood, foam and vinyl leather and voila! Leg restraints.
- A speculum with some plastic washers and JBWeld to isolate the two tongues and a couple of electrical jacks... Now it's a bipolar electro-stim probe.

If you want something sturdier than wood for your spreaders, here's a cheap way to make steel spreaders. We've found that the clanking sound that the metal makes as one moves around is very nice.

There is also a forum on fetlife with the same title; I saw a lot of great ideas there.

go to home depot, paint department explain to the person that you purchased several

5 gallons of paint and you need a few stir sticks, they make awsome paddles.

Harbor Freight - electric fly swatter, leave the center rod in take out the rod under and above it.
do that all the way up and down both sides. it's like being paddled with a bug zapper. and is under 5 bucks.

I use dog collars the adjustable ones with the plastic clip lock, works great and if the slave gets in trouble

quick easy snaps release is seconds, I double wrap wrist and ankles.

Now this is interesting and creative...just tie her up and switch the power on and then what? Work on the other end?

Tantriqu -> RE: Bondage on a Budget (9/6/2014 6:48:30 AM)

Army/navy/outdoor stores, too: lots of waterproof bedding and quick-release velcro ties for cheap.
My favourite is a $7 snakebite kit: put the suction cups on his nipples for a few minutes for engorgement, for longer then a sudden release once he begs enough, which will make him fall to his knees groaning and incapacitated [in a good way [;)]].

MrBeardyFace -> RE: Bondage on a Budget (9/24/2014 6:33:46 AM)

Home Depot is glorious. Don't even have a plan. Just go walk around the aisles for awhile, and see what your eye picks out. Obviously, there's miles of rope and chain, and all the relevant attachments, but there's so much more. It's delicious. :)

Enjoyed your article very very much.
