ravn -> switching roles (7/16/2006 8:05:58 PM)

Okay, so up until recently, i was chatting with a male slave. We were getting along great- and talking about the lifestyle quite a bit- it was great! He was intelligent, funny, and all those other things you'd like to have in a friend.

Well, overnight, He decided He was no longer a sub, He was a Dom. How does that happen? Is it like a lightswitch? because i think i must have misplaced mine if there is one....

That would be my guess also.. I have heard of Doms doing that.. to get you in..then they let their true colors show...because they think you are hooked now.

it's really quite saddening- if You're just as funny as a Dom, and i'm CLEARLY only looking for friends, why would You pull something like that? it's just irritating i guess

Oh lord, ... dont ya hate it when that happens!!!
The way I've always seen it is those males sub's
who all of a sudden think they are Dom are just
in lust... Lust seems to make them try to walk
on the other side so they dont loose you to another
that identifys as Dominant.  ....  Might work for you,
but for me it's never worked.
sigh......................

I just had a conversation with a sub friend who told me of her allegedly dominant play partner who seems to be falling into a pattern of bottoming from the top.
She said if she sees him again she's going to start charging him.

sounds like someone reversed polarity on his vibrating butt plug...LOL

It's extremely common with people who are very new to the scene- both males and females and doms and subs.  You see subs all the time who decide to go vanilla, or go dominant, or the other way.

When someone is new, they are still exploring, and often quite gunshy.  So they can be easily swayed and spooked and they don't have a firm grip on who they are and where they stand.

Not that we don't go through serious shifts over time as well- but they usually are not nearly so quick or simple.

I've had submissive woman friends who tried to get me to be dominant towards them, and in the old days I'd even try. But it rarely worked out well. So I don't even pretend to think that way. I'm not dominant, nor am I ever going to be.
