Um I don't have the ability to remove my collar, as it is locked. Why would you want to remove your collar? My collar is very special to me, just as my Mistress is very special to me.

I will never remove it unless he wants to release me. I did once, because we went through a really tough time and I thought it was over. Hadn't heard anything from him and lost my mind. I felt sick doing it, and it really messed with my head. I acted impulsively and allowed my emotions to affect my judgement and behaviour. Lesson learned.

The only reason my collar would come off is for medical reasons. for such things as MRI, CT Scan or an operation. I would want my collar to be replaced as soon as possible as I would never remove it willingly.

He dumped me with a few texts yesterday, so it came off. I will see if it is worth something in town tomorrow, if not, it will be posted to him. I left quite a lot of clothing at his house, so I feel no guilt for doing that. Plus...he dumped me in a text, so....

letting go of your collar means your letting go of a very large and extraordinary personel connection type area .
your giving up on his mastery of you .........he will then , no longer be your sir or master / owner .
sad .

Very sad. But if he lets go first, tells you its over, continuing to wear it would be even sadder.

I am led to believe in most (not all) instances on these places men folk have an infinite amount of collars, and thrashings with toasters of heft, to give away to the wanton of collar mad bints. Bad stereotype begets bad stereotype I suppose.

What is a collar and what does it mean to those involved, and who owns the collar, and who gets in when they split. Variety of answers unique to the people and circumstances.

Firstly you imply that ownership can be only taken.
Secondly you infer that the collar is a symbol of the taken ownership.

I would have started you off with a training collar, cobbled with bits of my shiny tinfoil hat left overs,

Sorry to hear that, dreamofdaddy.

Thank you. I guess he never took it anywhere near as seriously as me. But as many have since assured me...his loss.

We are engaged. It's been 2 & 1/2 years since he put my collar on. Won't be getting married for at least two years.
But the collar? That stays on.

My collar are two metal bracelets. They come off pretty often since I go through a lot of metal detectors and you have to remove all jewelry when you go through them. No big deal. I just put them back on after I get through.

I am allowed to remove my collar whenever I want(I am a switch.). I only really wear it at events/parties to show I am taken and it stops annoying people from bothering me. Instead of people coming up to me I go to them.

in days of old slave girs were often chained up collared owned sold any bible has numerous references to it as societies in the dim past
many women wear chokers necklaces wedding rings as a symbol of ownership protection her knight n his steed how many girls love being rescued by her hero live happily ever after
a collar can be a dog collar attached t a led but if you have your g/friend on a leash shopping at coles big W you will get t strange looks but no bend her over check out counter give her a arse slap

SO what is wrong with a wedding ring on her finger which most girls dream of and a choker necklace or collar around her neck why not bracelts on her wrists attached to a short chain
All of above symbolise love
does not the bible say husbands love your wives as the wife is to obey her husband [EPHESIANS 5;22-24] the man and woman will be united as 1 in i flesh they wer both naked and not ashamed
genesis 2;23-25

I'll offer a dissenting view.

I'm a spanko, and a lot of us will spank/be spanked by others, even in otherwise monogamous relationships. I was playing with a woman who was collared, and negotiating play. I asked about touching her neck (which in my experience can lead to a very submissive state), and she told me that I was free to touch her neck, but not her collar, so she would need to remove it prior to play and replace it afterwards. And that's how we did that.
