Republican Donald Trump or Democrat Hillary Clinton? Both are the worse candidates in decades for the Presidency. Both do not give a damn about anything except their own selfish interests. Why is it just a two party race when there are many parties in the USA? Partisan politics are dangerous because they are narrow in their political aims and values. Perhaps a one party state would be best but with elected candidates from all the wide political spectrum of opinion so that nobody had an absolute monopoly. A government and Senate and Congress of multiple diversity of opinion would represent the many and not the few and would prevent much negative legislation from being passed into law.

I can't wait for this election to be over with. I'm sick of Facebook smear campaigns, I'm sick of people trying to put campaign signs on my property, I'm tired of the media taking sides, I'm tired of the media taking part of a sentence out of context and I'm really sick of Doug Applegate - who is trying to win the Meg Whitman award for airing the most campaign commercials. (literally at least one in every commercial break during the local news)

He might not be a sock - he might be a very concerned citizen with a legitimate beef for American voters to address.................................... or not. and OsideGirl - I agree with you about the media bias. You can read two stories and not realise they are talking about the same event - and that is pretty sad!

I'm not a great fan of either Clinton or Trump, but I would be interested to read 'yoursbyright' reasons for calling them both 'criminal lunatics', and define what he means by that ? Why 'criminal' especially ? .

Why vote for Clinton or Trump? There are other parties and the Libertarians are actually a force in this election now.

The last poll I saw had the Libertarian candidate at 9%. Not much of a force.

In the old days, in Britain, you'd get deluged with information that you'd suspect was biased. In these days of 'post-truth politics' you don't suspect it, you pretty much know that it's not bias, it's outright lie. The choice has become little more now than one of 'pick your favourite story'. And all this is a hundred times worse your side of the pond.
