Generally, a mentor is the same role as you. For example, as young slave, a friend of mine whom is an experienced slave is my mentor.
A Dominant asking to mentor a new sub is usually a predator. :/

OP, I recommend finding your local community and befriending submissives you can look up to and learn from. :)

Not kosher.

A mentor should be someone local to you that is on the same side of kneel as you are.

I would view any male Dom offering to mentor a new female sub who is a complete stranger as a predator.
