So it's been almost a month since I stopped seeing my ex Daddy for any impact play. We still hang out as friends and occasionally have sex, but that release I got from bottoming for him is off the table for me even though he still wants to. I can't right now for reasons I've discussed elsewhere on this board. So as a result of not having that outlet my depression is coming back. I was doing so well. My anxiety never really got any better but the depressive episodes had lessened and so had their severity. It was better than any anti depressant I'd ever been on. I don't even have the desire right now to get myself to the club to play with one of the friends I know who'd top me if I asked.

Has anyone ever had this issue when they've lost their bdsm partner? I don't want to fall into a major depressive episode because of it but I also don't want to get desperate and make a stupid mistake just to get my "fix" so to speak.

Have you tried exercise for the endorphin release? They don't call it runner's high for nothing.

Oh yes. I workout 3-5 days a week. Just ran a 5k on Saturday. It feels good to exercise, it just doesn't affect me the way impact and bondage play did. But the effect was the most beneficial with my ex because I had an emotional connection with him as well. Unfortunately I can't fall in love with exercise :p

Omg, I'm a total idiot. I just made the connection, the high I got during my 5k was similar to my subspace high during impact play. I was having a drop the last few days after my race.

No just my husband and my ex Daddy who I still see as a friend and occasional sex partner. I don't think that's too difficult to understand, lol.

And I wasn't cast aside by him you goofball, I broke it off. We talked after I broke up with him and devised to try FWB at his request. He wanted to try our D/s relationship again but I refuse. I don't feel that way about him anymore. Seeing him as my Dom, that shipped sailed.
