ORIGINAL: needlesandpins Take me to church is about being gay. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYSVMgRr6pw No - that's the video that I have on my party play-list and I thought it was about being gay, too ... till my femdom friend pointed me to the lyrics themselves. He's singing about having a femdom partner! Here you go: "My lover's got humour She's the giggle at a funeral Knows everybody's disapproval I should've worshipped her sooner If the heavens ever did speak She's the last true mouthpiece Every Sunday's getting more bleak A fresh poison each week "We were born sick" You heard them say it My church offers no absolutes She tells me "worship in the bedroom" The only heaven I'll be sent to Is when I'm alone with you I was born sick, but I love it Command me to be well" That was still never the way I took it. More rather he's talking about his LOVE, the emotion, as female. That his Church is against what he is regardless of his faith, but that's just me, and strangely my son also said ages ago that he thought the same thing. I do see your point though Needles I was really surprised when my femdom friend pointed me to the lyrics, Needles, I freely admit. The way he sings, it's as though it just can't be about something as 'frivolous' as femdom/malesub. It feels like it has to be about some really momentous. But, apparently, on some F/m website she uses, a lot of the femdoms cite that song as their 'anthem' in their profiles. Funny, though, given that I'm a straight malesub: I didn't like it quite so much after my femdom friend told me all this. Hozier, apparently, was fine with the video that was matched with the song. I can see why - it's *very* moving. Yeah, I'm not sure how I like the thought of it being an 'anthem' for femdoms. Each to their own I guess. I'll stick with watching the version I like best, and thinking of it as being a little 'deeper'? Needles
