ORIGINAL: DarkSteven A lot of folks think that collarspace sucks for matchmaking. It does if you simply cold message people, hoping to meet as soon as possible. I am here for the forums mostly. When I do message someone, it's to comment on something in their profile. Or to let them know what kink resources exist in their area. The result is that I'm fairly good at getting into enjoyable conversations. That's all I'm looking for now, but it's nice to have kinkfriends. Same here, mostly. I've been here for years mainly just for conversation on the message boards. Not so much these days as I used to, mainly because there's way too much newbie "How do I find a woman to dominate me?" kind of stuff that just gets really old, really fast. Nowadays, I usually just check out the main page just to see what types of women are showing themselves in my neck of the woods (more of a voyeuristic thing, as I RARELY contact anyone these days)...I think it's mostly to reassure myself that the generation after me is still joining the struggle rather than trying to hook up with anyone myself. And I check out the message boards in hopes of finding an interesting conversation taking place. As I've said numbers of time in the past, the site is great for matchmaking, as long as I'm not the one pursuing anyone. I know that sounds like it's logically impaired, but I've discovered that if a woman is interested in me, she'll contact me, and we might lead towards an interesting, fruitful relationship (even if it's as friends and people with common interests). If I pursue it as some guy trying to "score" or "hook up", it's rarely ever going to end up being productive, unless I'm seeking a financial dominant who wants to spend my money, a prostitute, a professional, or a game player. There's nothing wrong with any of those, but it's rarely what I'm seeking.
