In todays' world, some Pagan clergy will charge for their services like readings, exorcisms, house cleansings..you get my drift. It is their livelihood and vocation. I have performed a wedding where the couple, being Pagan, did not want the word G-d mentioned in the vows and since it was a 7 step Cherokee wedding ceremony were happy to pay me a modest fee and for my transportation. It is not against the Rede if it is your job just like it is not against G-d's law to charge for a Christian wedding because you are paying for the minister's time and expenses to hold the ceremony in his church or transportation if the ceremony is held in another place like a park or sanctuary. My time is precious and I don't really charge that much, nothing for healing prayers for all walks of life.

Well someone might have experience or know someone practising as a Wiccan Pagan Clergy? Any ideas at all folks?

My brother is a Wiccan High Priest of the Wanstallarian Wicca Coven.
He holds many ceremonies - at least one a week.

And no, it's not something you can really make a living from.
He does charge for his services but in most instances, it barely covers the cost of his expenses.
Why doesn't he raise his fees??
People won't pay for it.
It's as simple as that.

I would add that in some peoples' view, if one is to do the work of God (or gods), it's not something you do, looking to be well compensated. It's something one does because they believe in the message and bringing people to it.

When I was (much) younger, because of the nature of families in my faith, I was "slated" to go into the Clergy, but since I didn't sense "the calling", I just couldn't do it.

I seriously doubt it.

I was under the impression that Wicca did not endorse a structured organization in the way that mainstream religions do. I thought part of the appeal was the individual nature of a person's relationship to Wicca... that adherents were, themselves, practitioners and so have no need of "officials" to perform ceremonies. I imagine that there are some groups who do have such people, but hard to imagine making a buck at it... and honestly, as some others have pointed out, it would seem extremely unseemly to attempt to make a buck at such a thing. Seems to me it would demean the entire spirit of such ceremonies.

I actually do this.
Keep a day job.......Even if you made enough to live on at times....It is random.....There are seasons.
Beside it's always good financial sense to be income diversified.
I'm delighted I found this thread!

Cheapskates don't even want to pay five bucks for a pair of cuffs that cost 20 to make. Figure it out.

This. ^

Cheap people are everywhere, not just in BDSM.
