Well, except for Lucylastic, we know she could not be trusted with any of these items....

For sale by European broker:
6 Cold War Era, former soviet navy Whiskey II diesel electric submarines.
De militarized of course but all that means is that the targeting sonar (and computers) has been removed and the air feed to the torpedo tubes has been disconnected.
Easy fix with current commercial grade research sonar and a good ex navy computer tech can build you the computer systems for less than 10k.

Now, it is true that the diesel electric boats are not capable of staying under water for extended periods, however, it is also true that the only time a diesel electric boat is really detectable is when she is snorkling her diesels to charge batteries.

However, recent renewed interest in the Walter Turbine power plant (burns hydrogen peroxide with exhaust products of water and O2) can make that chore unneeded.

Also for sale:
1 Former royal navy aircraft carrier.
12 surplus destroyers
10 former minesweepers
5 fast attack craft (modern version of the pt boats)
2 post world war two era heavy cruisers

In Norway
A former NATO submarine base, built into the side of a fjord (as in the damn thing is UNDER a mountain.)

In the US
Out side of Denver
An eight silo Titan II missile installation upgraded to handle the Reagan era minute man missiles but never used.
Designed to take a direct hit from a 5 megaton thermonuclear device.
Now this would be a good place for a lab to construct your diabolical bio or chemical compounds, the large storage area could be used for photon based weapons testing and design (ie lasers.)

Houston Texas
145 Soviet era T62 and T72 main battle tanks, former Iraqi army. Weapons demilled by the removal and destruction of breach blocks.
These bits of hardware can be made in any decently equipped machine shop, so if you want to equip a tank brigade, here are your tanks.

Also in Houston
22 Mig 25 fighters, crated. very low flying hours on engines
Avionics also uninstalled, so it is very probable that the aiming systems are there.

In Yuma Arizona
Misc. US military aircraft including but not limited to
F4's, F105's, early A1 Intruders, early B52's (ideally supposed to be sold as scrap but it is legal to get these birds in flying condition) along with tankers, cargo planes and other fighters from the 60's through the late 80's.

Now all of these aircraft were retired due to long hours on the air frames (read stress fractures of wing spars) however as demonstrated by collectors of jets, it is possible to pull these aircraft down to frame only and replace the over stressed components.

Wing spars for a B52 can be after market manufactured for a reasonable $250k per spar (each aircraft has two, stretching from mid wing through the fusaluge to the same point in the opposite wing)

Now, all military turbo prop and jet engines use JP4 for fuel, which is to say, very highly refined kerosene. Civilian JP2 and JP3 can be used at a lower fuel efficiency.

And you are the dude who always complains if someone writes something that has a lot of similar none relivant jibberish.

You've been watching Bond films again, haven't you?

(I used to have one of those Soviet surplus submarines, btw. It was crap: it sank.)

Nope, but look at the section title:

Off The Grid

So, non relevant (<proper spelling btw) gibberish (<proper spelling again) is supposed to go here.

No, it actually came up on a facebook feed that was simply entitled "Becoming a super villain on a budget."

There were even a few NASA project aircraft listed for sale, granted all out of the mid 70's to late 80's, which included the gutted airframe of their famous lifting body experimental aircraft.

This particular craft was noted for unusual (read damn near impossible to control) flight characteristics and tendency to crash spectacularly on landing (i.e the stall speed of this particular air design was 245 knots, below that speed the nose dropped and it tried to drill holes to the earth's core) not to mention it tended to 'stub' the nose gear causing it to collapse and then you have 3 tons of air craft tumbling along the runway.

A few other interesting surplus items were the original rails used by the US Navy in their rail gun research, the barrel from the high altitude projectile test program (3 16 inch naval rifle barrels wielded together) a few of the Thor, Titan III and Atlas launch vehicle rocket bodies and....

An experimental nuclear reactor vessel that was never fueled (the Soviets were playing with the same basic design and it failed catastrophically before the US Navy made their operational) which was mothballed.

As to the reactor, I imagine the Navy scientists read about the Soviet failure and covered the damn thing with a tarp and said "NOPE!"

And one 3 ton rare earth magnet.

What possible use anyone could have for a rare earth magnet weighing 3 tons is beyond me. How could you even move the damn thing in the first place?

However, since it was made and moved, I want the vehicle used to move it!

That's the thing that's shown crashing in one bit of the stock footage on the titles of the Six Million Dollar Man, isn't it?

One of my cousins might want a tank. He's a former tank commander in the Israeli army. But past age 55, you aren't in the reserves anymore. He always said there was no thrill equal to firing that. I don't think his wife would want it around the house though.

Heh my hubby drove tanks, I have had some amusing conversations about having one in the back yard

Yup, and for the record, that was one of the LEAST catastrophic crashes of that design.
