Undocumented immigrants in the United States are fleeing to Canada. But Canadians may not want them, a new survey finds.

Nearly half of Canadians support "increasing the deportation of people living in Canada illegally," according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released Monday. The same share said they supported sending migrants that crossed from the United States right back over the border, while just 36 percent said Canada should accept them and let them apply for refugee status.

The popular sentiment could pose a challenge to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who champions a pro-refugee and pro-immigration policy as a stark foil to U.S. President Donald Trump.

Especially as our latest mass killer was a right wing trump fan, we have quite enough racist pigs here.
Refugees are welcome, for me personally, Ive met several since last year. If they had papers granting visas or asylum, or legal reason to come in from the US, then I welcome them.
I am however aware that the bullying, hate and violence will radicalise/turn some of the kids.
Bullying hate and violence does that to a lot of people.
Its not a new problem, its been around since 2001 at least here.
Illegals need to go the legal way.

I would be far happier if they kept their promises to the First Nations

They detain all asylum-seekers they find who slip across the border to escape Trump’s net. “If they are found to be inadmissible without a valid claim, deportation procedures are begun,” Dan Brien, a spokesman for Canadian Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale, told Reuters.

I think a few of the American publishing companies think they're losing money over Canadians nipping over the border to buy books in the States rather than coughing up to pay an import duty as well?

have to admit I use amazon.ca or bookdepository,no import fees so far
but yeah, import, customs and duties fees are a bitch for anything over 150$

Gets a bit less attention than the drugs for some reason: can't imagine why that is.
If I'm honest, the only reason I'd even heard about that was a Candian book reviewer complaining about it back when the Canadian dollar was up to 97% of the American one...
