I've discovered over time, saying the wrong thing can be costly...especially when you had an opportunity (natch...in some cases, multiple times) to say the right thing. Interestingly, having been given the opportunity to say the right thing (of course, later having {now, in hindsight) said the wrong thing...then) not only proves to be wrong (later)....but (on occasion) offers up several chances to have indeed said the right thing (if only you had known...but...you didn't).
So...always say the right thing.
(S'wut I live by).
