Hello,

I possibly will be doing my first in person session in the next couple weeks that will, likely, involve some pegging. I am excited, but the most significant concern I have is making sure the toys are clean from prior use. I am a bit of a hypochondriac.

A couple questions: Is it appropriate to ask my domme for detailed information on how she cleans her toys?
Are there recommended ways cleaning occur? Any insufficient ways? I want to know what to look for and any help is greatly appreciated.

Your best bet? Buy your own and maintain them yourself.

Apart from buying your own which is really the best way, in case she doesn't use a condom on the plug or dildo, don't walk, run, since chance are she will use lube on you, the lube should be water based, condoms and vaseline isn't a great idea (or anything oily) as it makes the condom weak and can cause it to break.

I think a very polite email, saying you're doing your first session and you are awfully nervous and it would make you feel a bit more reassured if she could talk you through sterilisation of toys shouldn't be out of order at all.

Personally I would buy myself lube, condoms, wipes, toy cleaner.
Regarding a specific dildo, to buy, discuss it, ask what type of harness, as some harnesses have different size rings. Or ones like vaculock, compared to o rings, or dildoes that go internally..
Dont go overboard on the size, or shape for a first...I would bring up every thing you can think of, what will be the type of dildo used? do you have an allergy to latex/rubber. I like silicone because it can be boiled properly. "truskin" really needs a layer of talc/cornstarch to keep it pristine and not melt against other types of material, but needs to be washed before use.
Part of the enjoyment in the whole build up is to discuss what kind of shape will be used. colour, size, material, but everyone is different in that regard..

Have fun, I agree with the answers up here! If you are going to a pro Domme most likely she is cleaning her toys properly. It is ok to ask questions, and it is ok to buy and bring your own toys to a scene. I do not take offense when subs bring their own fun toys. I hope she breaks you in properly or it may be your last time trying it! Good Luck

You need to use your own insertables or anything that can transfer body fluids. Bring condoms to put on things you didn't bother to buy, and condom safe lube.

Don't trust nobody!

Everybody have the same chance of having STDs because You do not know the person close or you are not living with her like a husband. Even if You were a husband, how many cheating wives are there? The same is with the toys. Better bring yours. If it's not possible ask her to clean the toy in front of you and use condoms for toys. Some of the toys getting micro cracks where infections can sit without any harm. Please pay attention to the details and BE SAFE!
