I CAN NOT stand having "more" than I need...like....clickers....there's one for each TV (comes with the tv) but, if you want 397 channels...you have to have a box...which requires another clicker.

Then...if you want 397 channels in ANOTHER room....(yep)..'nother clicker. So...I always got basic cable because....all I ever do is use it to fall asleep to.

As the cable company's have slowly eliminated all my channels (and I've refused to STILL order a box....or boxes)....I'm left with like....(literally) 23 channels.

I've decided that, except for news....all I need is "Little House on the Prairie". On a loop. That's it. No one dies.

There's no blood (except for an occasional goat)...the worst thing that ever happens is...Charles Ingalls has to repair someone's roof when he has a hernia/broken rib/his Mom died/his Dad died/one of his kids got horribly sick (but they always get well again...and there's always pie)/the grocer denied him (Charles) credit...but of course..is shamed later for doing so/he needs corn seed but can't pay for it (see previous regards grocer)/a previous "friend" comes to town (but we know better...he WAS a friend...but he's not...really)...anyway....the Ingalls family....and a news channel...is really all I need.

And that's all I need.

I certainly have empathy for you about the clickers. I have 13 remotes for the TVs in my house. I finally got a phone app that lets you choose which room you are in and it sets up the right remotes on my phone. It doesn't run all the ancillary gear but does work on the TVs, cable boxes and surround sound . . .

Surround sound remote
Blue Ray player remote
Smart box wireless internet for TV remote with a micro keyboard
Game box remote

-Master bedroom-
TV remote
Cable remote
Blue Ray player remote
Firestick wireless internet for TV remote

Blue Ray player remote

TV remote
Surround sound remote

I wish only one remote.

It replaces 7 of the 11 remotes. The smartphone app replaces 3 TV remotes, 3 Cable remotes and 1 of the 2 Blue Ray players. It also works the volume on the surround sound, but it doesn't turn it on or off so I still need that remote.

May I make a suggestion that might solve your problems?

https://www.logitech.com/en-us/harmony-remotes

I believe most of these are USB programmable. Just plug them in to your computer and download the codes for your devices directly into the remote.

They can get a little pricey depending on your needs but if you're willing to spend a few hundred dollars for an iPhone then this shouldn't be too bad for you.

DUDE!!! You lost me!!!

How many remotes do you have and why do you have more than one!

Does the smart phone make all the other ones go away?

(And if so..how I do this???)
