If you have a school-aged child in need of breakfast and lunch this summer, simply text “FOOD” or "COMIDA" to 877877. You will receive a message back with a location closest to where they can get free summer meals. This is a service run by No Kid Hungry, an initiative of the non-profit organization Share Our Strength and is Nationwide in the US.
Please copy, paste, and post!
Even if you aren't in need, someone else's children might be. Thanks to Share Our Strength No Kid Hungry for all they do!

Before I miss this, I just wanted to say thanks for posting it. I know we were discussing this on another thread last week but it's good to see it posted.

Yours is probably better but I was also able to track down info just from looking up the school districts. My kids are several years past school age, so this wasn't something I knew. It listed all of the schools that serve meals, whether they served just lunch or included breakfast, too, etc. It was great to see this program is out there.

Just saw your reply LP. I think it is amazing that we have this available all over the place. I know of several schools in my area that are serving the summer meals, but when I texted the number to see what it showed, it actually told me of a park closer than the schools that was offering them!
