Wow, really, even the aroma is something that speaks to you? I personally can't stand the smell of leather or rubber. Like new leather in a car seat or new leather sofa, always take me forever to get over the smell. Makes me feel faint.

There's no need to feel unsure about whether or not somebody will harm you, in order to fear them.

There's millions of ways to induce fear without causing any harm whatsoever.

Cattle prods, for example, illicit a near universal fear response in people when they hear the buzzing sound of it charging. That is even after they've felt it, and realized that they're really not THAT painful (they're certainly not the most painful thing you can safely do to somebody).
Yet despite the knowledge that they're not intolerably painful, and the knowledge that they're not harmful, a tied up blindfolded bottom will almost inevitably shudder in fear from hearing the buzzer of a cattle prod charging up.

I wasn't taking it as a trick question.

In which specific ways would you like me to elaborate further? I could write a 20 page thesis on the psychology of fear play (if I had the time, or the inclination, which I don't).
