Wow. Yes, let me add northern lights to that bucket list. And even though I was there already as a teenager I want to go back to Loch Ness and sit on the bank all day looking for Nessie.

I've always wanted to visit Auckland. If you do that, I can live vicariously through you.

And I'll try to tempt you to see Colorado.

My son lived in Denver for a couple of years and my passport is getting dusty. After I see the states I've missed, I might go back to revisit a few. :)

Ah, Jeff..It seems cruel to make the poor fish fight so long and so hard for a photo op! Not this trip...this one is relaxing exploration with a hefty dose of magic. ;D That fight stuff..way to real!

After further research (much fun for my brain) I am now on a coin toss between Greece and Scotland/Wales.

Turns out my grandfather+8 greats was born in some place called Cwmavon and married my grandmother +8 greats at a place called Heolganol Swansea Higher Llandilotalybont. She was born in Pentwyn Tryvethin Pontypool. Those are all in Wales. I thought we were Irish. My sisters carrot top came from somewhere!

Wicked..Glascow because of St Mungos..I'm not joking and I'm not concerned at all about weather. I only check to know what sort of clothes to bring. Living in CA, I get great weather all the time so climate change...a good thing. You wanna be my tour guide?

I've only actually seen them once - where I am 56N you can see them 6-12 times a year - due the way the aurora oval works. But its usually cloudy and you need to look out at the correct time. The further east you are the higher the latitude, the further west you are eg America the lower the latitude so northern states will see them as frequently as here.

Now, at 1230am the sky is twilight here and it is beautiful - we do not have white nights here. Shetland and Orkney perhaps who also have https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skara_Brae not quite sure thats worth the visit. But about 60N-61N have the best light in the world
loch ness is a bit bland truly but if you do that run via eg Glencoe its beautiful

Jeff..if I am going to be spending five hours fighting something..after I catch it I will kill it, cook it and eat it..especially if it came from the ocean. I'm a Chef and a Pisces after all.. you can think of me as the Hannibal Lecter of the sea. lol

Catch and release?

RED!

Bita,
Remind me never to spend 5 hours fighting you :)
No matter where you end up going, good luck on your trip! I am looking forward to the day I can travel without having to worry about work anymore. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now :)

I live with 3 cats (thats not a secret)- 3 bedrooms my house is always open

Where and when are you going - my knowledge of Englandshire shire is pretty limited, Wales it borders on zero, and Both Irelands even less. I have never actually been to Northern Ireland and I have shag all plans for ever doing so. Republic is fine :)

Glasgow city centre is fine I live midway and slightly north of both our main cities

what do you like?

I like magic..I believe you advanced humans call it science. ;) I will be going to the Glascow Museum of Science for sure. I want to treat or torment my taste buds ..not picky about which and witches are quite fond of cats. I have already booked my ticket so was going no matter what. I am landing in Glascow on June 28, 4:05 pm on the Delta Flight 9635 Operated by KLM. I am already booked at Citizen M for my stay..but, I am not obligated to spend every night there. Mostly, I just want to relax, move at the pace of a sloth and if I get the chance to visit the Dark side of the Moon, I am going to take it but it will depend on whether or not the exhibit has the show going while I am there.

If you want, I will send you my cell number on the other side and forward my flight stuff or you can just mark this thread and if I see you in Scotland, thats great. You can recognize me by the fact that I look exactly like my posted pics. ;)

Wicked..you have mail.

Scotland or bust but I couldn't get Greece out of my head so thats in Oct. My credit card is going to start protesting. Lol

It's probably a bi thing or a sub not wanting to have to choose thing so I decided to do both. Oct is just better for travelers in Oct but I need some instant travel gratification and Scotland fit all bills without any hoops.
