13 % cant pass anything, The people who voted in the Civil rights act were white.
The people who voted i affirmative action were white.
Blacks and white (more whites because there are more whites) fought for it than blacks.
If there were truly a race war we would have run out of blacks before I ever moved to AL.

I really need your help understanding what you are saying, what 13% you are referring to. Do you think the American populace voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and that only 13% of the people were black? AFAIK, there was never a popular referendum on the Civil Rights Law in 1964, and I don't know of any vote taken on Affirmative Action. How did Affirmative Action become law? Who voted to pass the Civil Rights Act in 1964?

Exactly, both were voted in by white congressmen, not something that is going to happen in a througholy racist contry that has been waging a race war for a hundred years.
Don't forget that white people also passed the voting rights act, again not somethingthat happens in the middle of a race war.
You cherry pick the things that back your position and ignore the (more numerous) things that show you are wrong.

The Civil Rights Bill and the Voting Rights Act were passed because of the bus rides and diner counter protests of the Movement made up predominantly by black college students. The Bills were passed in '64 and '65
after:

1. The Supreme Court approved desegregation of public schools in 1954
2. Sara Parks sat in the front of a bus, 1954.
3. Emmitt Til, a young black teen, was kidnapped and murdered on the word of a white woman (just recently recanted) that he flirted with her.
4. President Eisenhower sent in Federal Marshals to deseg Central High School in Little Rock, Ark. after white governor Faubus blocked their entrance, 1957.
5. Black students sat in and were abused at a Woolworth's counter in NC 1960, and then other black students did the same through out the south,
6. 1961 bus trips lead by black students from Nashville tested the Law prohibiting segregation in interstate public transit. They were attacked by angry white mobs along the way and jailed overnight, and one bus was set on fire.
7. President Kennedy sent in 5000 Federal Troops to push Governor Wallace away from the door of the University of Alabama to enroll James Merideth despite riots and violence by white mobs, 1962.
8. Martin Luther King is incarcerated in the Birmingham jail, 1962.
9. Also 1962, nationwide television broadcast images of Bull Connor turning fire hoses and attack dogs on black protestors in Birmingham.
10 Also 1962, Medgar Evers, head of Mississippi's NAACP was assassinated in his own driveway.
11 Again 1962, 200,000 people gathered at the Lincoln Memorial to hear MLK,Jr's speech.
12. Again 1962, four young black girls were killed by a bomb at the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church, Birmingham.
13 The 24th Amendment abolished the poll tax instituted by eleven southern states to disenfranchize poor blacks, 1964.
14 Three civil rights workers in Mississippi went missing to be found six weeks later murdered, 1964.
15 Chaney, Goodman, and Schwerner were part of a massive effort to register black voters in the south.
16 Then, LBJ signed the Civil Rights Bill into Law over the protestations of white Southern legislators, 1964.
17 In 1965, Blacks begin a march to Montgomery in support of voting rights but are stopped at the Pettus Bridge by a police blockade. Fifty marchers are hospitalized after police use tear gas, whips, and clubs against them. The incident is dubbed "Bloody Sunday" by the media.
18 Then, the Voting Rights Act was passed by Congress.

You are fucking wrong in giving credit to 535 pasty white congressmen for establishing civil rights and voting rights in the 1960s.

In 1968 Nixon became president on the wave of his "southern (bigoted) strategy" and many southern Democrat legislators switched parties.

Charter schools are rolling back school desegregation and laws are being put in place to create obstacles to voting for black people.

Racist America moving right along, keeping black people on their reservations (urban ghettos) and shooting the unarmed with impunity.

America continues to be a racially divided country.

Why has no white person ever been charged in the bombing, looting and murders of black wallstreet in Tulsa, OK? There is no statute of limitations on murder. The Feds are not interested, the state isn't. Nor the county. Odd that a race war like that is allowed to stand in a non-racist country.

When did that happen.
Why are there no prosecution in the Reginal Denny case.

After a few jury changes, a hung jury resulted for all charges except a felony count of mayhem for Williams and one misdemeanor assault charge for both Williams and Watson on October 18. Watson was given credit for time served and was sentenced to three years probation for the assaults of Denny and truck driver Larry Tarvin. Williams was denied bail and sentenced to a maximum of ten years for the assaults of Denny and four other people on December 7, 1993. As the families of the defendants celebrated the lesser sentences, Denny surprisingly approached Williams' mother, Georgiana, and hugged her. For weeks afterwards, public debate about racism and whether the verdicts were just or unjust raged on.[11]

Reginald Denny was a man with a big heart, Mr. Bama.

ow many cases of arson have gone unpunished from the riots in the 60's. in the 90's, in Fergeson, in Baltimore, just to name a few. People of all races have gotten away with stuff.
OJ got away with murder.
Yep, they had them on film and still racism was assumed.

You seem so anxious for a race war beyond the current "stealth" war. Wanna see blacks' blood running in the streets, do you?

Here's an example of white war crimes against blacks. Tulsa, 1921

The riot began over a Memorial Day weekend after a young black man was accused of raping a young white female elevator operator at a commercial building. After he was taken into custody, rumors raced through the black community that he was at risk of being lynched. A group of armed African-American men rushed to the police station where the young suspect was held and a white crowd had gathered, to prevent a lynching. A confrontation developed between blacks and whites; shots were fired, and some whites and blacks were killed.

As this news spread throughout the city, mob violence exploded. Thousands of whites rampaged through the black community that night and the next day, killing men and women, burning and looting stores and homes. About 10,000 blacks were left homeless, and property damage amounted to more than $1.5 million in real estate and $750,000 in personal property ($30 million in 2017).

Some blacks claimed that policemen had joined the mob;

others said that National Guardsmen fired a machine gun into the black community and a plane dropped sticks of dynamite.[4]

In an eyewitness account discovered in 2015, Greenwood attorney Buck Colbert Franklin described watching a dozen or more private planes drop burning balls of turpentine on Greenwood's rooftops.[5]

"The Tulsa race riot of 1921 was rarely mentioned in history books, classrooms or even in private. Blacks and whites alike grew into middle age unaware of what had taken place.

With the number of survivors declining, in 1996, the 75th anniversary of the riot, a bi-partisan group in the state legislature authorized formation of the Oklahoma Commission to Study the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921. Members were appointed to investigate events, interview survivors, hear testimony from the public, and prepare a report of events.

The Commission's final report published in 2001 said that the city had conspired with the white mob against the Tulsa black community; it recommended a program of reparations to survivors and their descendants.[1]

The state passed legislation to establish some scholarships for descendants of survivors, encourage economic development of Greenwood, and develop a memorial park in Tulsa to the riot victims. The park was dedicated in 2010.

Greenwood in Tulsa, Oklahoma was one of the wealthiest Black neighborhoods in the nation. Can you imagine ignorant, murderous, white mobs wrecking such havoc on a civilized black community? I'll bet you wish you were there in 1921. I see that in your remark about Bull Conner. I bet you have a photo of his ugly face on your bed room wall. You can deny it all you want but America is a racist nation and you seem to be one of its champions.

What is going on seems to be just a well learned lesson from the Southern states during the Jim Crow days when no jury would convict a white man of killing an unarmed black man. "I shot because I was afraid for my life." is Supreme Court approved code for "Lynch the nigger."

White people are terrified; black people are enraged. There is no common ground for racial accommodation under those conditions in America.

Sounds like you not only see a racewar comminig but you are looking forward to it.

Why do you think we have not been in a race war since this country was founded?

How about because this isn't the racist country you think it is. Race wars basical are limited to 3rd world countries , like africa where tribes are like races.

I notice you don't deny wanting one.

I think there are a lot of folks on the left who think that if they can convince people that everyone on the right is a racist, it will help them win more votes. Doesn't seem to matter that they are also creating a lot of the hate and tension or what that might lead to. As long as they can point their fingers and act like they are somehow superior, they are happy.

I don't have to want one when I can plainly see we are still in the midst of one that did not end with the Civil War. Instead of lynching them as low hanging fruit from trees we have men in blue shooting them dead.

If you are basing this on the fact that there are racists here, then you might as well include the rest of the world in that race war. And while you are at it, why not add the ones who are the same race but killing each other because of religion. And don't forget the gays all over the world, some of whom could be killed if outed. Fact is there are racist little pukes in all colors all over the world and until you come up with a pill for ignorance they will always be there along with all the other haters. Aside from slapping them down when I see one, I am not sure what you think we can do to change that.

You would think after all of these decades they would be a it more efficient at killing folks off.

I want to know why if the cops are killing them all, how do so many end up in jail?

Firstly, I have no quarrel with gays and other queers like myself. I hurt just as much for their condition in the world.

Secondly, my comments are not based on racism in other parts of the world, which I recognize exists. I am basing my comments on our history and on the continuing denial that white on black racism is an ugly force in America. I also have a hard on for white people who try to make themselves the aggrieved parties in defiance of all the shit we have put upon our black brothers and sisters. All the freakin excuses leveled against the black culture and especially all the repeated nonsense about how blacks should lift themselves up by their bootstraps like every other minority has, again ignoring the centuries of slavery and decades of Jim Crow separate and unequal, and ignoring the fact that we have herded them into reservations like we did with the indigenous people. The other fall back argument that riles my ass is when people say blacks should stop playing the victim card. Politicians continue to make attempts to disenfranchise blacks and not a jury will convict a cop who has killed an unarmed black man. The cops are always afraid for their lives. I especially feel the piss when they gun down mentally ill people of any race. Lobotomy by police special. What can I do about it personally? Not a helluva lot except to call out the toxin that still blemishes our nation and the shit heads who always blame the victims, the real victims. Hope that is clear. I missed your comments earlier and apologize for my late reply.

Some blacks claimed that policemen had joined the mob;

others said that National Guardsmen fired a machine gun into the black community and a plane dropped sticks of dynamite.[4]

1921, that is when I thought it was, so he wants to try to prosecut dead people.
Things have changed, now blacks commit war crimes without punishment.
And the violence was started by blacks, that doesnt justify what happened but they did resort to thwy threw out the law first, having gone to a black collge they left that part out.

But hey, it was okay to fly over a black neighborhood and drop explosives. It's okay to shoot unarmed blacks today. There's no war on the black race going on is there?

I don't have to want one when I can plainly see we are still in the midst of one that did not end with the Civil War. Instead of lynching them as low hanging fruit from trees we have men in blue shooting them dead.

You would think after all of these decades they would be a it more efficient at killing folks off.

I want to know why if the cops are killing them all, how do so many end up in jail?

Who said they are killing them all?

If it is a race war they would be.

You have no quarrel with people just like you, what a surprise.

Never said that or anything like it. The race war exists in your mind.
