Video - Maxine Walters says 700 Billion people will lose their healthcare under the Republican bill

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDqxnp8HfZA

"Everybody keep hysterically panicking"

Or everybody keep shining the light on this absurdity of a bill.

Let's consider the facts:

Facts can (often) be a bit dubious.

That said....let's (all) be honest:

I heard something like 23 million "won't get insurance" under the new bill.

Let's all be clear that a "3% cut" in United States Congressional budgets actually means...(assuming 3% inflation) that...we didn't spend what we spent last year...+ 3%....+ what we assumed for growth.

Meaning.....6% increase in the actual cost.

(THAT's what it....really means...really).

(THAT's what they're actually SAYING!!!).

(I'm not kidding you...THAT's what they're REALLY saying!!!).

(It MEANS...if they DON'T spend 6% MORE....they "spent LESS!!!").

They LIED to you!

(BOTH SIDES).

(Really....seriously).

So...what does that (actually) mean?

I means that (considering all the facts)...that 10 million (or more) would NEVER have purchased insurance if they hadn't been thrown against a wall to do so.

It means that....of ALL the people that have been FORCED to buy insurance (since Obamacare)...every ONE of us has been thrown against a wall of...$5,000.00 deductibles and stoooopit copays (let alone employers who said..."I can't pay this...you have to pay a portion").

(For clarity....7 years ago...it meant...for a $750.00 deductible...you could have "coverage" after spending $750.00. Today, it means you have to spend $5,000.00. before you can have your insurance cover 60%...instead of 80% just 7 years hence).

(It's math).

It MEANS that...when they say: "23 million people won't get insurance" (which...is a lie) it's actually a statement that clarifies that...people that choose NOT to have insurance..."will NO LONGER be PENALIZED for not buying it"

(It is IMPOSSIBLE to change market forces).

In the end...Obamacare has COST you....by every measure, and, the gain that you got....was eviscerated by your assumed gains.

The ASSUMPTION that you "gained" insurance was not only wishful thinking...it was at best....a complete dream.

Stooopit people do stooopit math

(It's just math).

(It's ONLY math).

You've been lied to (and it wasn't the Republicans that lied to you....it was your inability to do math).

There ain't no free cheese.

Plans that are worthless and unaffordable kill people just as dead as anything you pretend the Republicans are doing, you heartless bitch

Too bad Obama and Pelousi didn't care about making health care affordable rather than forcing everyone to give their lobbyist friends mountains of cash for a worthless product

I do read your comments (sadly) Boscoe...ya know...you are such anathema...you could hand every human on Earth 1 quintillion dollars and...at the exact same time tell EVERYONE..."I'll sell you a mansion for 50 bucks"...and everyone would still consider you a dick.

You havent said anything about ill people.
You are just interested in the financial side, you said it.. and now just backed it up....
thankyou.
You havent mentioned the realities of the bill, not once, except for the financial issues.
and again, obama is your fall back, we are talking THIS healthcare bill,
They have only had 8 years to come up with one. Using 200 billion in opioid addiction money to bribe Repubs to vote for it shows how vindictive you and your party are..
Brilliant strategy.
I hope you take note of the townhalls this summer by senate and congress critters.
Repeal could be fixed, but no, trump says repeal AND thenreplace.
trumps distraction is so poor its translucent.
Im heartless????? LOL that is simply blind projection from your own soul of scum, nothing more.
If you think hillary is a bitch, just wait till karma catches up with you.

Please look at the OP,
quote:

Senate leaders worked Monday to modify their plan to overhaul the Affordable Care Act, adding a provision that would penalize consumers for not keeping their plans, by imposing a six-month waiting provision before they could re-enroll.

thats going to cost.
THe wait will hurt people too.
Rich vs poor, no change, ever. yay murrica

(Just for clarity {and truth}...it's 63 days {not even remotely....6 months} and...if you don't stay "on plan"...it means that you'll pay a 30% premium {as against your previous premium}....for ONE YEAR....{no more...and no longer}).

(It's on the interweb).

(It's math).

(Even Democrats acknowledge these facts).

I'll do quite nicely.

(Thank you).

(Which, for the record....has zero to do with health care.....and.....everything to do with the investments I've made).

And...actually...700 billion is (singularly) about math.

(For the record MM...the "your" wasn't directed towards you...it was directed to anyone who thinks that the public discussion {re: health care} has any factual basis....everyone has an opinion....very few choose to do the actual research as to gaining {actual} facts).

Lucy I have no issue with anyone's opinion....so long as it has some kind of foundation in truth.

(It's kind of a starting point for me).

Whether or not I make shitloads...or lose my ass in the process.....truth is always a solid base for discussion.

Start with that....and end with that...and you and I will always agree.

It's so sad that so many would rather look past the facts, rather than looking for a solution.

The facts are (Yeah...MM...I get it...you are actually correct....we do have the money but...bad guys are everywhere and...if we aren't the biggest baddest fuckers anywhere....who steps up?) that we don't have the money (and....we don't).

So...I'll ask again...you (everyone is the "you") are the arbiter...who gets cut?

Who gets more?

Which department gets expanded....cut?

Lucy...you find me objectionable and yet....you have absolutely no idea what I believe...even as I've made my beliefs here...vibrantly clear:

I find Trump objectionable (actually: Offensive).

I didn't vote for him...even as I'm a STAUNCH Republican.

I've stated (here)...several times that...I wish he would keep taxes the way they are....EVEN as the top 40% pays more than DOUBLE what they paid in % as to 1982 taxes (when Reagan lowered taxes for all).

In fact...I wish he'd raise taxes for the upper echelon by 2 points (because they, uniquely...have benefited the most since 1982)...even as they don't deserve the hit.

(Even as I would likely be one of those people).

Unfortunately...I don't write the laws...if I did...you'd pay even less and have MORE benefits...but you don't want to hear that....do you? What you want to hear is...I'm a Republican....therefore...I wanna fuck EVERYONE until they bleed...from every possible orifice...because.....you want to believe that every Republican is an asshole.

(Instead....of thinking for yourself...instead of reading the words that are spoken.....but...most importantly...instead of....thinking).

You find it offensive that I would benefit thanks to Trumps tax cut...yet...I don't find it at all offensive that those who have done less well did MUCH better under Obama...or Clinton...thanks to the exact same efforts or criteria.

Even as those who have produced more...paid more...by every possible measure.

By percentage and...in actual dollars.

So....who's the asshole Lucy?

Stop.

(Think).

The answers are right in front of you.

(You can win).

(You just have to choose to do so).

Stop hating.

(Start thinking).

Crazy shit...I've spent my life....doing...surrounded by people that spend their lives doing their best to convince me....a thing "can't be done".

(After....I've already done it)....

It's frustrating. (At best).

The sad thing is....a guy like myself has to deal with a lot of stuff....time constraints....too much to do...not enough time...all that...

I was seeing my doctor the other day (at 58....ya know...we have to do that annual "thing"...you know what I'm talking about)....doc was seeming a bit friendly...enjoying himself a bit too much....and I'm thinking to myself....

"Using 200 billion in opioid addiction money to bribe Repubs to vote for it shows how vindictive you and your party are.. "

Lucy...it was 25 billion...not 200.

Again...start with the facts...and end with the facts (your argument has more teeth if you do).

Interestingly (not at all surprisingly) another of your assertions is that the Republicans aren't smart enough to see that their tax cuts and spending "don't add up" and that we'll be broke in 15 years with "trillions of dollars of new added debt".

Turns out that...it appears that the Republicans are now considering.....LOWERING taxes for the middle class and lower earners...KEEPING rates the same for the top 40% and RAISING them for the top 10%.

(What a concept: Actually...paying the cost of what we've spent the last 50 years NOT paying for....WHILE cutting expenditures / budgets for systems that are complete rip offs.....finding fraud...and...getting users to pay for their use of government programs. It's what we should have been doing 50+ years ago. Next up...{and me with 19 trucks...I'd be a huge fan...because it'd pave new freeway lanes for my trucks}...charging commercial truckers 50 cents a gallon more for their fuel to travel the freeways).

(It'll happen...because Republicans...contrary to your ridiculous views, don't want to screw everyone...they want to elevate everyone and....they...we...are willing to write the check to make it happen).

(Get over yourself).

(Think).

It's not brain surgery that Reagan's tax cuts...along with massive increased spending fucked up the entire gig. (It's math).

And EVERY rational thinking Republican knew it then....as now.

And it sure as shit ain't brain surgery that raising taxes and raising AGAIN....expenditures (when we're already {free cheese} drowning in debt) ain't the best move.

Hmmmm....maybe...raising "income" and lowering expenses....(kinda like...what everyone does when the shit hits the fan)...might not be such a bad idea.

(Which means...everyone takes a hit...yeah...it sucks being the guy on the low end that has to do with something lesser...your grandparents did...and it means that those on the upper end....pay more. It's time...and everyone....has to take a hit).

(Everyone).
