Ford announce the new factory for production of the Focus will be in China. This will obviously make new jobs in the US.

Nice try but...no. They sell by far most Focus models in the US North America and Europe. In fact none sell anywhere in Asia as of 2017. Ford hopes to to sell the Focus in China 2019-2020.

The next Focus is expected to grow in size. Production at the Michigan Assembly Plant in the US will end in 2018, and most fourth generation Focuses sold in North America will be imported from China instead of retooling the plant in Mexico,

China and India are leading the world in green energy production. South Korea is leading the world in stem cell research. Both could have been major global players right here.

But nope. We're gonna build more SUVs and pick-ups. In the heartland. We just are.

US demand for small cars is decreasing and Ford has lost 20% of sales on the Focus in the US, whereas that car is selling well in China. Ford saysthey aren't cutting any US jobs, they are converting the plant from making the Ford Focus to making the Ranger and Bronco instead.
