Kittens are NOT cute.

Kittens, the young of Felis Domesticus, are not even of this planet.

They are alien invaders working to enslave mankind. (See Futurama- "That Darn Katz!")

Which brings us to the following question:

Why the hell would anyone want a pet that, when you call it by name, gives you a go to hell look and continues doing whatever the hell it wants to?

Kittens are cute, when they turn in to cats I give them a wide berth being as I'm very allergic to them, and more than a little phobic. As a general rule, cats are dicks.

My neighbour's cat being case in point as it insists on crapping in my garden, which I specifically have sectioned off from my dog [:'(]

The dog who eats poo also has a habit of licking my face. It's gross, but it just comes with the package.

The Man, his kids and grandkids went off camping for a few days. The stepdaughter came home to discover her cat, who objects to being left overnight, knocked a half bottle of whisky over.

I checked its food and water dishes yesterday, and things were fine. Today she came home to a room in desperate need of being aired out.

I love stories about furbabies finding a forever home! Congrats to the canine and feline on finding such wonderful humans!
